2022: Fundraising for Pakistan Flood Relief

--------------------------------------------------------------
Update for 2021: Fundraising for Medical Aid for Palestine raised RM50,000 for Medical Aid for Palestinians

Palestine is facing a humanitarian crisis. Palestinians are being forcibly evicted and made homeless in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time they are being besieged by an aggressive military campaign conducted by the occupying Israeli forces. All of this is forcing a medical community that is already stretched thin to breaking point!

To help them we are raising funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) to replace drugs and other medical items that are running out fast. Our donations will go a long way to providing relief and support to the Palestinian community, who are suffering under a modern day Apartheid!

Thrice in the span of four days Palestinians were bombarded with stun grenades, tear gas and sponge-tipped bullets, as they congregated in the Al Aqsa Mosque. These attacks directly contravene International Law which bans attacks on places of worship- and is a stark reminder of how Israeli apartheid works in Jerusalem, as they work to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Jerusalem.

Over 300 people were injured in the most recent Al Aqsa attack on May 10th. 228 people had to be rushed to hospital. On May 10th Israel began a deadly military campaign in Gaza, bombing the besieged area. The death toll is climbing; at the time of writing it stood at 20 dead, including 9 children, one of whom is under 10 years old. 65 people are severely injured and require urgent medical care.  These raids on Al Aqsa and deadly airstrikes on Gaza have resulted in hundreds of injured and dead, and are forcing a medical community that is already stretched thin to breaking point.

50% of essential drugs are in short supply or have run out in Gaza’s hospitals. Children are waiting for vital supplements and malnutrition treatments such as Isomil. Stocks of Paracetamol and Antibiotics, much needed to treat the victims of the recent attacks, have almost completely depleted. As Israeli aggression heightens, and COVID-19 continues to spread the situation will worsen.
