At Kakiseni, it’s about believing that good things should be shared. We are convinced more people should have access to the performing arts and we are certain that when people get together to have the same conversation, it makes for an enriching experience. Ever-evolving, Kakiseni began as an online portal for arts listings and reviews. We are now a non-profit platform dedicated to developing the local arts industry. Kakiseni has grants; performing spaces, artist development programmes, and many more initiatives. We also hold the prominent annual BOH Cameronian Arts Awards, the Kakiseni Arts Exchange and the Kakiseni International Arts Festival. We believe that the arts should be introduced and nurtured at a young age to promote emotional growth, stimuli in the synapses enabling the youth to create, think and act creatively. We try to out new concepts and ideas to the public to change their perspective of the creative arts. Our programmes are designed to engage, converse and instill a sense of wonder and learning.
