AMSA IMU

Young Scientist Project [YSP] is an Asian Medical Student Association program [AMSA] to provide academic support for refugee students, regardless of their background, race or ethnicity. Organised initially as a one day scientific lab workshop for refugee students to access university lab facilities, anatomical models, microscopic slides and hands-on experiments; it has gradually expanded the outreach to provide co-curricular enrichment through platforms such as TED conferences, HEP-IPTS debating platform, Student Exploratory Workshops, Essential Skills workshop, etc.

YSP by AMSA, runs solely on the generosity of donors like you to impart knowledge to struggling students. In this 2020 campaign, the Asian Medical Student Association aims to raise sufficient funds to purchase at least 300 Science and Mathematics textbooks for the refugee students.

Currently, hundreds of refugee children are relying on electronic textbooks on their small-screen gadgets, straining their eyes only to read a few words on a daily basis. There are even textbooks that cannot be found online. To ease their learning process, physical textbooks would better suit the children, taking into consideration their optical health and a better learning experience.

Help us to help them in their pursuit for education! Let's prove that humanity can overcome any form of discrimination, especially one that hinders basic education, simply because of where one comes from, especially for children. "Everyone has the right to education" - Article 26, as instigated by the United Nations.

Show your support for us in this campaign, even the smallest contribution will make a significant difference in their lives. Imagine the refugee children with better education. You can make a difference. you can bless them with a better future.
