OrphanCare is a Malaysian non-for-profit organisation that is passionate about children. We were the first organisation in Malaysia to set up baby hatches, in an effort to reduce the number of babies being “dumped”. The baby hatches help us rescue babies that cannot be looked after by their biological families, and we make sure that those babies are not institutionalised but are placed with loving families instead. OrphanCare has an agreement with the Malaysian government to facilitate the adoption of children in a safe and legal way.  We also work on ending the instutionalisation of children in Malaysia. Orphanages and homes are a very difficult environment for children to grow in.  For this reason, we work with homes/orphanages, biological families and potential adoptive families to implement a family-based care system in Malaysia.
