Alzheimer's Disease Association (ADA) is a 26-year-old voluntary welfare organisation certified as a Centre of Specialisation in Dementia Care, by the National Council of Social Service. In fact, ADA runs the highest number of specialist dementia-daycare centres in Singapore. Our Association also runs a dedicated Caregiver Support Centre for counselling, helping and training the stressed caregivers of persons with dementia.
Hospitals and other healthcare authorities regularly collaborate with ADA for leading-edge consultancy and advocacy on Person-Centred Care and high quality dementia-care training.
Over the past few years, ADA has not just focused on its wide range of day care and caregiver support, but rather, has been innovative and forward-looking in its approach. So much so that it was awarded the Outstanding VWO Awards for 2010, 2011 and 2012 in areas of excellence such as collaboration and innovation.
