Hi all, good day to everyone, have you heard of greenpeace malaysia? And does any 1 of you know about our latest campaign in malaysia. As we can see Malaysia can be classified as one of the biggest dumping ground for plastic waste. Yes you read it right,plastic waste,the best part not our own plastic waste,but plastic waste from first world countries. Can you like imagine what would happen if our neighbour throws their waste at our home...pheww,cant even imagine. As many of us are very well informed,its not easy to recycle single use plastics,as it consumes a lot of time, effort, and money,so i think we have a clear picture of why malaysia has become the dumping ground... yes you are right money.. There are some illegal parties who import this plastic wastes claiming that it can be recycled,but like i said earlier,it costs a bomb,so what they do is they decide to burn these plastics.. that already sounds bad right? So what happens next,?? Plastic contains micro plastic which contains heavy metals like mercury. When we burn these plastic wastes ,this heavy metals actually are transferred through the fumes, which are actually being inhaled by us humans ,and also heavy metals are released to the ground,causing plants to get contaminated,in the end its back to us humans whom consume this plants,how many of us actually know that heavy metals are the reasons for chronic illness like cancer and etc. So can you imagine what would happen to our mankind if this keeps on going,very soon the whole malaysia will be piled up with this plastic waste burning grounds, and we should be prepared of loosing more of our loved ones... Hmmm sad isnt it..? Thats is why we are here to try to stop this from happening,were on the midst of sending back these wastes from where they belong,we have actually already sent back some.
