My Story

Ninja turtles is a team consisting 8 passionate students from Heriot Watt University who all share the goal of saving sea turtles from extinction and raise public awareness of the value of conserving sea turtles’ lives. We also encourage ocean-friendly behaviours, provide precautions to protect the marina life of these vulnerable underwater species, and aiding in the species’ recovery.

Our team’s major goal of this crowdfunding project is to raise funds for Lang Tengah Turtle Watch, a non-profit organisation established in April 2013 and situated in Terengganu, Malaysia. LTTW, also known as Lang Tengah Turtle Watch, has taken the initiative to confidently take the necessary actions to ensure the protection of these magnificent creatures.

We intend to support LTTW’s efforts in monitoring turtle landing, preserve sea turtles from poachers, carry out ocean scientific studies, and find out what other conservation challenges the island may be hinding. We aimed to raise awareness of this cause in an innovative, and engaging way throughout this initiative by hosting interactive events such as ninja turtles virtual charity run and merchandise online booth.
