Let’s make cancer a thing of yesterday.

My Story

3 years ago this month which coincides with my birthday, I made a decision to join hands with Sunway International School’s People to People International Club (PTPI) to run a project with one goal - fundraising for cancer research in Malaysia. We successfully raised over RM 2,500 within the school community and to commemorate that, I did a little act of ‘sacrifice’ with the help of my hairstylist friend, Jeremy from Jeremy’s Studio - a live session of Jeremy doing the honour of shaving my head to mark the success of the drive with a full audience at my workplace.

Over a year later, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Today marks the second year of her battle with the big C. The various treatments that she has fought and still fighting through are beyond our imagination. I have seen her willpower and courage being put to test in this long 2 years battle. 

My mom has inspired me in more ways than one. This drive is my little act of support to my mom and to the ones affected by the battle with cancer. Regardless of the amount raised this time, I will be shaving my head on my birthday which falls on the 29th September.

Every cent counts and every thought matters.
