Mother's Choice urgently needs our help! Donate $100 HKD or more to join Kristen's "Sweat for a Cause" online workout on Saturday May 2nd.

My Story

Mother's Choice is a local charity serving the many children without families and pregnant teenagers in Hong Kong. They provide services to children, youth, and families in Hong Kong, all united with the goal of seeing every child in a loving family.


Want to sweat for a great cause? Here are the steps:
  1. Donate $100 HKD or more and screenshot the confirmation
  2. Send the screenshot to [email protected]
  3. Kristen will email you with the ZOOM meeting ID and Password.
  4. Join the Zoom workout at 9am on May 2nd! The workout will be 45 minutes and requires no equipment. Modifications will be given for pre/postnatal mamas*

    *Please ensure you have your doctor's clearance to exercise. Listen to your body and rest or modify as needed.

Mother's Choice is a local charity serving the many children without families and pregnant teenagers in Hong Kong. We join hands with our community to give hope and change the life stories of vulnerable girls and babies. We provide six services to children, youth, and families in Hong Kong, all united with the goal of seeing every child in a loving family.

Mother's Choice is dealing with an 80% increase in calls to our emergency hotline, and hundreds of children on the waitlist as we remain one of the few children residential care services still admitting new cases from at-risk families under tremendous stress due to COVID-19 virus and the slowing down of government services.

The Mother's Choice gala dinner occurs in May every year and is our largest fundraising event, raising 30% of our annual operating expenses. We need your help, as with the upsurge in concern around COVID-19, we are forced to postpone our gala dinner. With this fundraising event no longer happening in May, this will have real consequences for our cash flow and operations, and will force Mother’s Choice to make difficult decisions. We need your help, so we can continue to offer critical services and a HOME to vulnerable babies and young girls who need our services now more than ever.

We do not have the financial means to wait until the gala dinner can be rescheduled to start fundraising. At last year’s dinner, HK$9.5 million was raised in pledges alone and we hope to at least match the results from last year. We are aware that times are challenging for everyone now but would you consider making a financial gift to Mother’s Choice now so we can avoid cutting our most critical services? Every dollar counts.
