Laura Pike is fundraising for New Life Foundation

My Story

PLEASE NOTE: donations are made in Thai Baht. £1 = 50 Baht (roughly!) From June until September we will be cycling 3000km from Istanbul to Amsterdam, raising money for the New Life Foundation near Chiang Rai, Thailand. The foundation is an international recovery community that supports people who are overcoming addictions, depression and stress. Insight, mindfulness and meditation are used rather than medication to help the recovery process. We recently spent a month volunteering at the foundation and had such a special time – we were very moved by the residents stories of how they'd come upon such difficulties and how New Life was helping them on their path to recovery. The community is a very special place for both residents and volunteers and we'd love to support it as much as possible by raising funds for them over the summer. To find out more about New Life check out their website: www.newlifethaifoundation.com Our journey will take us through Western Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, along the Danube through Slovakia and Austria, up through the Czech Republic into Germany and west through Holland to Amsterdam. We will be keeping regular updates on our blog www.meyouandrootoo.blogspot.com and will be catching up with some friends and family along the way. Our fundraising target is £1000 (50,000 Thai Baht). We would be so grateful for any donations you can make! You can also help us to promote New Life by passing it's details onto anyone you think might benefit from the recovery process.
