Hello and thank you for visiting my simplygiving.com page. I'm raising funds and awareness for the fantastic work that a Hong Kong-based charity, The Child Welfare Scheme (CWS) does in Nepal providing development and support for disadvantaged children across Nepal. Please can you consider sponsoring me as I attempt this year's Ghurka Trailblazer 26Km Race in Hong Kong on Saturday 12th January, 2019

My Story

Nepalese Ghurkas are internationally renowned for their bravery, courage and fortitude during major conflicts and through humanitarian support during natural disasters and relief efforts. Here in Hong Kong they helped maintain stability during unsettled times enabling the Hong Kong SAR to become the dynamic world city is it today. Many retired Ghurkas are still living in Hong Kong today and I have been privileged to meet many of them during my time in Hong Kong. 

CWS provides support to the families of serving Ghurka soldiers as well as other children and young people across Nepal. Some 30,000 children are supported directly by the charity and many thousands more through their programs and initiatives.
