Whether you want to push yourself to your furthest limits, set a half marathon personal best or have some family fun during the 3KM family fun run, the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon is a wonderful opportunity to better your personal health and the health of Cambodia’s children!

AHC has grown from a two-bed hospital to a well-established healthcare organisation over the past 20 years because of supporters like you!

Although the standard of living is steadily improving, Cambodians continue to suffer from endemic poverty. Many of the preventable illnesses we see on a daily basis at AHC are symptoms of deep-rooted poverty: everything from lack of decent shelter, scarcity of clean water, or lack of nutritious food and sanitation all contributes to the illnesses that our patients’ experience.

What a donation can do:

US$15 - a trip to the dentist for one child

US$25 - school health and nutrition classes for 20 primary school students

US$50 - three counselling sessions for victims of abuse or neglect

US$75 - 24 hours of inpatient treatment and care for a severely malnourished child

US$100 - one stethoscope to help doctors listen to the internal sounds of the body

US$250 - 24 hours of life saving intensive care for one premature baby  

US$500 - care for one child living with HIV for a whole year

US$750 - one closed heart surgery for a child born with a heart defect

US$1,000 - curative treatment for one child living with cancer of the eye

US$5,000 - a defibrillator machine treating life threatening conditions affecting the rhythm of the heart
