About Event

In the current global situation, refugees in the process of resettlement run the risk of being held in transit points, such as Malaysia, for much longer than intended; this can be anywhere between 2 years to more than a decade. How refugees spend their time here in Malaysia is of crucial importance to their success in their countries of resettlement, i.e. USA, Canada, Australia. 

At Fugee School, we are committed to enriching the lives of refugee children stranded in transition. Over the past 7 years we have worked to educate over 300 children in Malaysia and provide support to the wider refugee community. We strive to create a safe environment in which refugee children can flourish without fear of discrimination, a place where they can develop into hopeful and capable individuals. 

Wherever a child's home is, it is the most important place in the world. Help us make Malaysia, although only temporary, a place they can call home. 


EDUCATE A CHILD!! 


This will impact over 160 children and 6 refugee teachers, and the wider community over a 6 month period.


Donations will go towards:

- Education resources for the Kindergarten and Primary school. 

- Life skills & leadership training, for secondary and youth students under the Youth Coach and Fugee Buddy programme.  

- Hands on/ experiential learning (through partnerships) eg: science bridge classes, STEM related classes. 

- To pay for the salaries of refugee teachers for 6 months.
