DHRRA Malaysia aims to ensure sustained improvement of the quality of life of the vulnerable population through various combinations of efforts geared to the uplift the marginalized communities.
Majority of the underprivileged and marginalized segment of our society are ill prepared to cope with the socio-economic impact of COVID-19, and to re-build their life in its aftermath, and therefore are at risk of being left behind as Malaysia prepares to exit the Covid-19 crisis.
During the Movement Control Order, with your kind contribution, DHRRA Malaysia supported 8492 families with grocery aid and essential services through COVIDCAREMY initiative. Led by DHRRA Malaysia, this initiative was formed by fostering sustainable alliance with 20 local NGOs. DHRRA Malaysia is a non-profit organization with almost two decades of community development experience and expertise particularly in promoting empowered and self-reliant communities through grassroots community development initiatives. Taking into consideration the pervasive and extensive impact of COVID-19, DHRRA Malaysia revisited the organization’s strategic plan to incorporate Humanitarian Aid to ensure food security during disaster or crisis and beyond – DHRRA FOODBRIDGE.
Moving into Recovery Movement Control Order, an impact study conducted by DHRRA Malaysia shows that 45% of the respondents are still in need of further support especially food aid. This humanitarian initiative, Food Bridge, is aimed at ensuring access to food for vulnerable communities. Moreover, aiming for a multidimensional intervention - DHRRA aims to provide the following

request for Milk Powder and Nappies. Each family will receive Emergency Need
Basket worth of RM180 in total.
To begin with, 3821 families from COVIDCAREMY initiative will benefit from DHRRA FOODBRIDGE assistance. In line with our commitment to the realization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of leaving no one behind, this assistance is hoped to ensure the identified vulnerable communities can thrive through during this difficult period and work towards established sustainable income.
