About The Lighthouse Children Welfare Home

Lighthouse provides essential care to the most vulnerable children in Malaysia, from diverse backgrounds, ages and ethnicities. They contribute to a culture of peace, tolerance, and respect for diversity in a country where every child counts!  The home focuses on providing a family environment that enables its children to access equal opportunities to thrive and become active change makers in our society.

Lighthouse now has 63 children with ages ranging from 4 to 20.  The Home is a society registered with the Registrar of Societies and prides itself on having adopted a family, rather than an institutional concept and a significant effort is put into bringing together siblings who have been separated in the past into this home as a family. All the children of school-going age attend government schools. The Home is run entirely on donations and would be grateful for your kind contributions.
