The Red Cross International Bazaar is a signature fundraising event organised by numerous Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world. This event also promotes international friendship and understanding - the event being an opportunity for patrons to experience the diverse cultures, products as well as food and beverages of other countries.

The Singapore Red Cross aim to raise $200,000 for the local humanitarian services to our community. Funds will be raised mainly through the sales of tickets and outright donations.

In order to meet this goal, the Red Cross is appealing for the support of all Missions in Singapore to help us provide assistance to those in our community via participation in this fundraising event, through one or more of the following:
  • Buy the bazaar tickets from $10 per ticket or donate here.  ( Please bring along the confirmation slip to redeem your coupons)
Singapore Red Cross helps the vulnerable in Singapore through a host of humanitarian services:
  • The Red Cross Home for the Disabled provides round-the-clock care to over 100 residents, including children. Its beneficiaries are cared for by a team of nursing professionals, therapy and healthcare aides, physiotherapists and occupational and speech therapists, leaving family members with the peace of mind to go about their daily activities.

  • TransportAid - For wheelchair-bound persons with economic challenges, getting to and from medical appointments can be a constant challenge. SRC’s TransportAid chaperones these patients from their doorstep to their healthcare facility, and back. Last year, SRC delivered over 12,000 life-sustaining trips, at an annual operating cost of S$650,000.

  • SRC rolled out FoodAid in 2013, to ensure needy families with children and elders have access to a nutritious diet. Volunteer befrienders visit monthly, not only to put healthy food on the table, but also to offer a listening ear, a helping hand and practical advice to the families in need. In 2016, SRC extended more than S$200,000 in food vouchers to disadvantaged families.

  • ElderAid - A whooping 41,000 seniors in Singapore live alone. SRC launched the ElderAid service in 2014, mobilising community volunteers to befriend the elderly, reduce vulnerability and enhance resilience to achieve a community ageing-in-place. SRC empowers the neighbourhood-based network of volunteers with skills in first response/aid, psychological support, eldercare and befriending, for them to conduct fortnightly visits to beneficiaries. Last year, these volunteers clocked 922 man hours in community service.

  • Home Monitoring and Eldercare (HoME+) provides home monitoring and response for seniors living on their own for community ageing-in-place.

  • Red Cross Blood Donor Recruitment Programme recruits, retains and recognises blood donors to ensure a safe and constant supply of blood, to meet daily blood transfusion needs in all hospitals.

  • Singapore Red Cross Academy conducts courses in first aid, humanitiarian law and humanitarian aid to prepare the community for emergencies.

  • Community FirstAid provides first aid coverage at national and community events as well as a “First Aider on Wheels” service at East Coast Park every weekend and public holiday

  • Civil Emergency Response enhances community preparedness, builds resilience and responds to emergencies in support of the Singapore Government,

  • Volunteer and Youth Development grooms all volunteers including Red Cross Youth volunteers to be humanitarian leaders of tomorrow through structured training and community programmes.
