2XU Compression Run is proud to support the Singapore Cancer Society’s “Daffodil Days”. The daffodil is a global symbol of hope for cancer patients and survivors and during Daffodil Days, the Singapore Cancer Society aims to raise cancer awareness and to give hope and encouragement to those battling cancer, those who have survived cancer and those caring for cancer-afflicted family members and friends.

On 1 April 2012, the Singapore Cancer Society will be at the 2XU Compression Run to raise funds and raise cancer awareness. With cancer striking being the cause of death for one in every three persons in Singapore, there is a good chance that everyone’s life will be touched by this disease at some point in time. You can give hope and reduce the impact of cancer in Singapore through your donation or by helping to spread the cancer message.

The Singapore Cancer Society is a self-funded voluntary health organisation that is dedicated to minising the impact of cancer on society through the provision of cancer treatment subsidies and financial assistance to need cancer patients, public education, cancer screening, home hospice care services, research and advocacy.

About 2XU Compression Run

Back for its third year, 2XU Compression Run is back – bigger and better, with a new starting point and race route for 2012. Known for its route around the City in 2011, participants will get to enjoy our local scenic City skyline and the vibrant flowers around the area during their run again. There will be two competitive distances this year, 10KM and 15KM, starting from Nicoll Highway.

Part of the participants’ entitlements consist of original Australian manufactured 2XU apparel – engineered with the single minded goal of best equipping the athlete to better optimize their performance, to perform beyond expectation.

 As the 2XU slogan carries - “Human performance multiplied”, this race aims to push all our athletes to accomplish what they think is unachievable. The 2XU Compression Run hopes to spread the same spirit and attitude to people affected by cancer with this collaboration and will donate part of the registration fees collected to the community-based fundraising project, Daffodil Days, by the Singapore Cancer Society.
