Together we create a brighter future

My Story

We all know that the strong bond between different organisms made up the ecosystem, which contributed to certain stability and produced a balanced system.

Coral reef - the “vase” in the ocean. A coral reef is an underwater ecosystem characterized by reef-building corals. Have you ever heard of their ecosystem function besides being attracted by their beautiful appearance? They’re the most biologically diverse ecosystems in the ocean, providing food, jobs, and protection from storms for coastal communities. Coral reefs also can be considered the poster child of nature-based tourism that significantly contributes to the global economy.

Coral reefs, which support an estimated one billion people worldwide, are among the most threatened ecosystems on Earth. It is estimated that more than half the world’s coral reefs have been lost due to a variety of factors including environmental changes, pollution, and overfishing. This could have significant implications for communities that rely on these reefs for the seafood that sustains their diet.

As a Malaysian Youth, it’s our responsibility to conserve the beautiful wildlife and marine environment. Everyone is highly encouraged to make a step in order to help marine life better. A small conservative fact may mean a lot to the marine life, which is akin to the contribution from the coral reef to the ecosystem.

As such, I volunteered and participated in this fundraising to raise funds for Charisma Movement's flagship project - Wildlife Conservation Project. The funds raised will be efficiently used for coral research, coral restoration, coral mapping and coral planting at Teluk Keke (Pulau Perhentian, Terengganu).

By donating now you can directly impact marine life and make it better for our next generation.
