Corporal Jovelyn Gonzaga PA – an enlisted soldier, an athlete, and now a HERO Ambassador.

Coming from a poor family, Jovelyn knows what it’s like to struggle in life. Using her talent and passion in playing volleyball, along with the help of the kind-hearted individuals who supported her, Jovelyn finished her studies and is now living her dreams. Today, as she gives back to those ‘heroes’ who have helped her along her journey, she now wants to share the hope that has kept her going.

“Kaya gusto kong tumulong sa HERO Foundation dahil gusto kong mabigyan ng pagasa ang mga kabataan na nangangailangan ng tulong.

Sa lahat ng followers ko, alam ko naman na busilak ang inyong mga puso na katulad ng mga taong tumulong sa akin.. humihingi ako ng supporta sa inyo na tulungan natin yung mga anak at pamilya ng aking kapwa sundalo para mabigyan natin sila ng magandang future.”

Every year, hundreds of Filipino Soldiers are killed, leaving behind thousands of military orphans who need our support to finish their education. Let us honor the sacrifices our men and women in uniform have made. Help Jovelyn raise funds for the education of the orphans our fallen soldiers have left behind.

Currently, HERO Foundation provides the following stipend for the HERO Scholars:

Elementary Level: P850 per month (P10,000 per year);

High School Level: P1,250 per month (P15,000/year);

College Level: P1,700 per month (P20,000/year) and;

Vocational Course: P2,100 per month (P25,000/year, max of 2years).

The stipends that the Foundation provides help in the day-to-day expenses of these children. Stipends are given per year in elementary level and high school, per semester in college levels and upon enrollment for vocational courses. Stipends are spent on school supplies, transportation fees and other miscellaneous school expenses. Without these funds to compliment other scholarship grants from the government, it is more difficult for the children to sustain their studies.
