TULONG TULONG TAYO! HELP US HELP OTHERS

My Story

The Art Relief Mobile Kitchen cooks hot comfort food for our people who have been affected by a series of earthquakes in Mindanao. The most recent earthquake, a magnitude 6.9, rocked Davao del Sur recently. The earthquake damaged public structures and homes and displaced thousands of people. They are in dire need of food, water, and shelter.

The Art Relief Mobile Kitchen (ARMK) began its journey in 2013 when Super Typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan), the strongest typhoon to hit the Philippines at the time, devastated the Visayas region.  ARMK sets up a community kitchen and engages community cooks, chefs, and volunteers to help prepare hot meals for people affected by natural and manmade disasters.  Founded by photojournalist Alex Baluyut, ARMK has served more than 300,000 meals in 41 locations all over the Philippines.
