India is currently facing a devastating second wave of COVID-19. Join forces with us now to respond to this new crisis. It is urgent to protect the vulnerable and marginalized populations we are supporting in India, and make sure that our common efforts to give them access to education and break the cycles of poverty are not wasted.
It has been found that there is a significant increase in the number of children who are now accompanying parents to the worksite due to school closure in their villages (source locations). At the worksite, while there is no facility for their education, children are also exposed to various exploitations including child labor. There are 750 migrant children who will be deprived of education and may drop out of school permanently.
