An Indonesian family needs your help. The Sutrisno family works hard to support themselves and to be productive members of their community, but they have been given misfortunes in life: Their son Adi, now 24 years old, was born with significant disabilities that impede his urinary tract. The father suffers from diabetes, and the mother from hypertension.
The Sutrisnos have already paid for 8 large, and expensive, hospitals in Yogyakarta and Jakarta, with Adi being seen by surgeons, urologists, and orthopedic doctors. Since his family lives in a rural area, travel to and lodging in these already-expensive places has placed an even larger burden on the family.
With such significant financial problems, Adi chose to forgo treatment over 5 years ago for his disability, leaving his medical issues unresolved and harming his quality of life. He ignores the daily nausea and sickness, and instead helps his parents in their used clothing business.
Our goal is to raise 100,000,000 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), which is approximately 7,000 US Dollars. This money will directly help the family by:
Paying off debt from previous surgeries (40,000,000 IDR/ 2,850 USD)
Continuing essential medical treatments (50,000,000 IDR/ 3,560 USD)
Building the family’s business capacity, to ensure resilience to future economic difficulties (712 USD)
Although a few thousand dollars may seem like a small amount of money, it represents an insurmountable barrier to the health and wellbeing of the Sutrisnos. With economic hardships and low salaries in their community, and compounding debt from Adi’s surgeries, it could take decades for their family to earn the money these life-saving and life-giving goals.
If you can, please help us help the Sutrisno family, to make the world a better place one famil
