In any emergency situation, Save the Children is always among the first teams to respond. We set out to provide the basic needs of the most affected children, as well as their families, within the first 72 hours of any emergency.
Children always suffer the most whenever a disaster strikes. Our specialized humanitarian teams aim to respond to the critical needs of children and families seeking shelter inside evacuation centers and those without access to lifesaving support. In the hours following an emergency we address concerns related to relief, child protection, education, health and nutrition - including clean water and hygiene supplies to help prevent the spread of diseases.
