My son, Danyel Haqim, aged 17, suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in February 2018 whilst captaining his SMK USJ12 school football team in Shah Alam. He underwent Arthroscopy in March and it was confirmed that the ligament was a complete tear and that after a few months of therapy he would have to undergo surgery to reconstruct the ACL. Unfortunately, the surgery had to be postponed due to Serdang Hospital's renovation of their Operating facilities.
In September however, I suffered a heart attack and underwent a triple heart bypass at Institute Jantung Negara (IJN). Danyel Haqim's procedure had to be further postponed due to scheduling and financial issues. In the meantime, he attended monthly physiotherapy sessions at Serdang Hospital and continues to do so.
In March 2019 this year, the doctors at Hospital Serdang suggested to proceed with the surgery this year but we decided that he could not afford to miss too much school this year due to his SPM examinations in October. It is such that we are targeting the surgery to be done right after his examinations.
The school is unable and has no insurance to pay for his surgery, only God knows why. Without a full-time job, due to my own condition after my heart bypass, I am limited in my financial resources and would like to appeal to my friends and family to pitch in with contributions for Danyel Haqim's surgery.

We are targeting for an amount of RM8,000 by late October 2019, which will go to the procedure and post therapy at Serdang Hospital.
