Despite coming from an impoverished background, 19 year old Sadam has overcome many challenges in his life, and is currently in his second semester at Admal Aviation College, in Sepang, with a focus on Aircraft Engineering and Avionics.
Sadam tried to apply for a loan from the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK) in his first semester, but unfortunately his application could not be completed because he did not have a guarantor. Rather than be discouraged, Sadam eventually succeeded in securing a guarantor, with the help of the college. While he was able to secure a student loan of RM80,000, he still needs an addition RM8,000 before December 2018 to continue being enrolled in his program. In addition, Sadam also needs Rm200 per month for rent.
Despite coming from a poor background, Sadam still takes the time to give back to his local community. In collaboration with the Association of Hope and YCK, Sadam took a group of YCK kids on a trip to visit KLIA recently.
YCK would like to raise RM10,400 in order to help Sadam cover his tertiary education expenses.
