In the last few years, I’ve helped to fundraise, send medicine and bring awareness to people in need in Venezuela. But now I need help for my own family.

Most of you know I come from the beautiful country of Venezuela, but I’ve been living abroad for nearly 10 years. Sadly, the country’s stability and economy has crumbled before our eyes- it's struggling through a full blown humanitarian crisis. The reasons are complex, but simply speaking, it’s a case of a corrupt government mismanaging a nation’s resources, and the citizens are paying the highest price. I have plenty of credible articles and videos if you’re interested to find out more.

Our family has had to make the difficult decision to relocate out of the country because as much as it hurts, Venezuela is no longer safe or liveable. On top of political oppression, food scarcity and a devalued currency make it very dangerous. There aren’t even proper medical supplies so hospitals and schools are barely functioning. Despite having to leave everything behind, the only realistic choice was to move away.

The total amount I need to raise is US$5,000 for three things:
  1. Helping my parents, sister and her young son settle as refugees in Peru and afford things like basic appliances, consular fees, medicine, and other daily necessities;
  2. Kickstarting a small business for my family to work toward financial independence and stability because finding work has been harder than we expected;
  3. Helping my brother who is still living in Venezuela move out with his daughters and settle in a new country.
