My Story

Nepal is one of the world’s poorest countries, with around 40 percent of the population living below the poverty line. On May 12, a second massive earthquake hit Nepal only two weeks after the first earthquake that displaced 2.8 million people. Can you imagine living through a Himalayan winter without proper shelter? Habitat for Humanity believe they can turn bankers into builders and through this initiative we are taking on the challenge to be part of the Carter Work Project to build 100 permanent homes for families who live in makeshift shelters made from plastic and tin.

Bharat Joshi (Jakarta Office), Chris Lam (HK Office), Gareth Nicholson, Henry Loh, Jeremy Teng, Patricia Druken, Richard Green (SG Office) and Shyra Muthusamy (Sydney Office) are off to Pokhara, Nepal to help rebuild after the worst earthquake in 80 years.
