My daughters & I are raising funds to help rural villagers gain access to clean & safe drinking water in rural Cambodia.

Water is a fundamental human need affecting not just health but education and income for people living in poverty. When a child falls ill from dirty water they are unable to go to school and when a woman spends hours each day just collecting water for her family's needs, she is kept away from an income generating job. In fact, 20% of the deaths among Cambodian children under the age of 5 are caused by water-borne diseases. Children are especially vulnerable to water-borne diseases because their bodies are too weak to fight off diarrhoea, dysentery and other illnesses.    

Water is abundant in Cambodia but it isn’t safe to drink. We will help provide sustainable clean drinking water to rural Cambodian families with a BioSand filter which kills 99% of bacteria in clean water. It is simple, low-cost solution that cleans water using a biological process.  

We don’t need to make spend a fortune to make a big difference in the lives of those less fortunate than us. We hope that we can do what we can to help. Each water filter costs USD100. Each dollar counts here. So dig deep & donate.
