SimplyGiving went on the road to conduct workshops with charities and partners in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore in March 2017!

Nikki Kinloch and Jeannie Low were in Hong Kong on 3 March to host a mixture of about 40 charities and mass-participation event organisers at our briefing session. Many in the room were particularly keen to find out more about our EventsPro module that enables form field customisation for events registration and the sale of merchandise online. Nikki, CEO of SimplyGiving, also shared our latest Personal Fundraising (PF) capabilities that enables individuals to use our website to raise funds online for themselves or someone they care about. Many of the attendees also used the opportunity at this session to network among themselves to explore potential for future collaboration.

In Malaysia, Nikki and Cheryl Low, organised the session for 25 charities and partners on 9 March. We were also joined by Michael Gearing, Director at SG Global Support Services who gave an overview of the extensive donor management services offered at SG Global. Our Malaysian charities were particularly interested in “Regular Giving” available on SimplyGiving, which gives donors the option to donate on a monthly basis. Nikki also shared learnings and experiences from other countries, e.g. on cultural differences when it comes to donating and fundraising and what makes a successful campaign.

Singapore hosted the charity session in March 23. Nikki, Lynn and Alex greeted 51 attendees from 35 charities that came to understand how they could maximize the potential of the SimplyGiving platform. Nikki presented the ease of use of the platform and how to utilise its features. Most of the charities were also very interested with EventsPro. Zander Liew of SG Global also gave an insight of their services to our Singapore partners.
