In ๐๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐, Chelsea was diagnosed with
bone cancer at the tender
age of 13. She recovered before suffering a relapse at the age of 16. A woman of strong faith, she never let her guard down and continued striving for academic excellence by scoring in both her PMR and SPM examinations, despite ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ค!

In ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐, USM held its breath as it received news that our dearest Chelsea was diagnosed with cancer, again. She was bombarded with gifts and messages of love and support from the whole USM community, many of whom paid her visits and were awe-inspired by her sheer ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐.

To commemorate Chelsea, the beautiful person she was and the beautiful life she lived, ๐๐๐ inaugurated April 15, her birthday as Chelsea Day; an annual celebration of love and life.
On the
1st Anniversary of Chelsea Day, we have organized a
fundraiser to conduct a special programme for childhood cancer patients in and around Penang. It would mean the world to us if you would consider giving us your fair share to
help us buy these children gifts, goodies and provide them with the necessary
emotional support they desperately need during this pandemic.
