Our son is currently awaiting for his Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment next year. In the meantime, the doctor at KKH DCD recommended for him to enrol with the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) centre, where the programmes are subsided by the government. We were placed on the waitlist but we could not wait any longer as his teachers in preschool were constantly complaining about his behaviour as they are not trained to deal with children with special educational needs.
As such, we had no choice but to arrange for 1-to-1 AVA-VB sessions. He attends two 1.5 hour sessions weekly with his therapist, and we pay around $1135.90 monthly without any government subsidies. This appeal is to help us cover some if not all of his early intervention sessions until his ASD assessment next year.
