IMPROVING HEALTHCARE FOR CAMBODIA'S CHILDREN
Founded in 1999, Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) provides high-quality compassionate care to all children regardless of their ability to pay. AHC has distinguished itself as the premier children's teaching hospital in northern Cambodia and in 2005, AHC was recognized by the Ministry of Health as the first teaching hospital in the country for nursing. Last year alone, AHC educated more than 10,000 medical students and government healthcare workers in 38 hospitals across Cambodia.
The hospital is staffed by 99 percent Cambodians with every department represented by Cambodian leadership. Hospital departments include outpatient, inpatient, intensive care, neonatal, surgery, eye clinic, dental clinic, education and research, homecare, social work, external program, pharmacy, laboratory, physiotherapy and radiology.
