My Story

Every child deserves high quality, compassionate healthcare, no matter where they live or their ability to pay. Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is a non-profit paediatric hospital providing healthcare to children from around Cambodia. This year, Macquarie is teaming up with AHC during the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon. At Macquarie, we believe all children deserve a chance at a healthy life. AHC actively works to positively change Cambodia's healthcare system by providing children with high quality treatment, serving as an officially recognised teaching hospital with 3-year paediatric residency program, and through many outreach preventative programs that directly target the root causes of preventable child deaths. One out of every 29 children born in Cambodia will die before their fifth birthday: this is unacceptable. 

Many of the Macquarie staff have visited AHC and have experienced first-hand the amazing work that they do. AHC is truly an oasis of hope in the field of paediatric health.
