Join us for a leisurely 3km walk with your doggie and enjoy the cool Bishan Park view this November. And for a good cause too! Organized by the SPCA and Bishan North Grassroots Organisations, also expect popcorn, candy floss, grooming services, merchandise sales, doggie treats and more at our post-walk carnival. While you're at the walk, you just might spot the family of otters, purple herons, and even kingfishers, roosters, and unique butterflies too.

          9am-12pm: Carnival

Joining us as Guest-of-Honor for the event is Mrs Josephine Teo, Senior Minister of State of the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Transport.

All proceeds will go to the SPCA to carry out our animal welfare work, some of which include a 24/7 emergency animal rescue service, animal welfare and cruelty investigations, running a shelter for sick, injured, abused and unwanted animals, and also complementary veterinary care and spay/neuter surgeries for community animals and pets from low income households. We promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals through education; we conduct school-based education programmes and group visits to the SPCA, hold education talks, seminars and workshops, and also provide volunteer opportunities to enhance corporate and community engagement.

All tickets come with a limited edition t-shirt (design of the shirt is based on our event logo!) and an attractive goodie bag, so sign up now.

FAQ

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

If you’re driving, you can park at Bishan-AMK Park 2’s “Car Park A”. It’s right next to the dog run. You can also park at the nearby HDBs – blocks 200s and 300s. You can also park at Bishan North Shopping Mall, or near Ang Mo Kio Swimming Complex and walk over.

If you’re taking public transport, you can take bus 136 or 133 from Ang Mo Kio Interchange and stop at the 4th stop (Bus Stop No. B54081 Teck Ghee Ct). Take the overhead bridge and you’ll arrive at Bishan-AMK Park 2. Walk towards McDonalds, and you’ll see the Promenade.

Can I bring my cat or rabbit?/How many pets can I bring to the event?

As long as your rabbit/cat/other small animals are inside a carrier and are comfortable being in public, yes of course. You are more than welcome to bring more than one dog – just ensure that they are leashed at all times and you can handle them safely, as there will be many dogs present on that day. Your pet’s welfare is our priority.

Of course, if you don't have a pet, you can still join us!

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, as long as it's paid for and you present the printed receipt/ticket at the respective collection and/or registration areas.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, please do! If not, you can always present your email receipt. This is when you’re collecting your goodie bag.

Can I change my t-shirt size?

Yes, but only if there is extra stock available. Please do let us know in advance.

Will there be water points available along the 3km walk for my dog?

Yes, there will be. However, please do bring your own portable water bowls as well, especially if your dog doesn’t like to share!

Can I come to the event even if I didn’t buy a ticket?

Yes, you can. However, you won’t be entitled to a t-shirt and goodie bag. So why not join in on the fun and help raise funds for our shelter animals at the same time!

What if I can't make it to the event, but still want to purchase the event t-shirt? Can you mail it to me?

Of course! Just fill out the registration form as per normal, and indicate under "Any Other Remarks" that you'd like us to mail the t-shirt to you. Please remember to put in your full mailing address as well. 

What if my dog doesn’t complete the 3km walk?/Will there be a vet present?

We have a vet and civic ambulance on standby, just in case anything goes wrong. And it’s fine if your dog can’t complete the walk. Take a break, have a breather, and enjoy the carnival!

If I cannot attend the event, but still want to donate towards your cause, what can I do?

You can donate via this very page! SimplyGiving allows you the option to donate to the SPCA even without attending the event. Just click on the DONATE NOW button above.

What is the refund policy?

We apologise in the event of heavy rain, or any other adverse circumstances that isn’t within our control, which might warrant the cancelling of the walk. We hope you can consider just donating it to the SPCA and the animals. We promise to put your kind donation to good use for the benefit of the animals. We greatly appreciate your help.
