Every day, hundreds of children in Makassar go scavenging in a dump site close to their homes. While scavenging, they also love to play in the garbage heaps because they are used to such environment. However, of course an environment full of sharp objects and diseases is not a safe place for children to spend their playtime, don't you think? This is why Save the Children is fighting for the future of these underprivileged kids through our program: Bring and Give Hope Outside of Trash (BRIGHT).

By supporting this program, you help child scavengers play and learn as children normally do at their age in child centers located in three sub-districts namely Manggala, Tamangap, and Biring Romang. We provide books and games so they can grow up happy and healthily.
