A little over 10 years ago, a small Seventh-Day Adventist church in Klang, Malaysia had its last Sabbath church service.
It was a sad day – many members felt discouraged, and
that they had failed as a church community.
However, the small church that was seemingly a failure nurtured a pastor, a pastor’s wife, 2 faithful brothers serving in ministry, a mother with her three daughters, along with lots of great memories from the Adventurers and Pathfinders program that is talked about today.
Fast forward about 10 years, and a group of believers residing in Klang felt the call to re-plant the church to better serve the Klang community.
After much prayer, consideration and planning, the group of 20+ started congregating and worshiping in the seminar room of a church member’s office while looking around for the ideal piece of property.
After 3 years of searching, it was amidst the Covid-19 pandemic when God led us to the piece of property that he had in store for us – an old, three story shop lot in close proximity to a few public schools nearby the city center.
Its location makes it ideal for city evangelism and community work and we have great plans to expand to other towns in the region. We are also planning to start a healthy vegan restaurant on the ground floor.
To continue the work that was started more than 10 years ago in Klang, we need $325,000 or RM 1.3 million to purchase and renovate the old building.
As of February 2021, God has blessed us with ~USD 279,000 and we need your support to help us complete the final stretch.
Many of us can’t wait to go on overseas mission trips, but here you have a wonderful opportunity to continue furthering the work of God in foreign mission fields with the amount that God has impressed upon your heart to give.
