This is an appeal to save our child from chronic illness. On May 1, 2019, our son, Lorenzo Steven "Enzo" Sua Mariano, was born into this world. Just like how normal parents should be, we were elated, grateful even that God has given our family one of His many blessings. However, since his date of birth, Enzo still has not left the confines of the Manila Doctors Hospital. Our 1-month-old little child remains at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), seeking continuous intensive medical attention for he was diagnosed with multiple congenital anomalies, neonatal sepsis, pneumonia, and Central Congenital Hypoventilation Syndrome. 

In medical terms, CCHS is a disorder of the autonomic nervous system that affects breathing. It causes a person to “hypoventilate’ (especially during sleep), resulting in a shortage of oxygen and a buildup of carbon dioxide in the blood. 

Currently, Enzo remains at the NICU. Doctors and specialists attending to his medical needs said Enzo, in order to live a normal life, would need his own breathing machine, which could only be the remedy whenever his brain would stop telling his body to breathe. 

We aim to raise P1,500,000 million to settle his medical bill, which currently rests at least P800,000. Then, we expect to use the amount left to fund our child's need to have his own breathing ventilation machine.
