Juhan is an 18 year old boy who is currently enrolled in the alternative education program at the Chow Kit Foundation (YCK). He is an only child, and his mother passed away after a 2 year struggle with cancer. Now, Juhan lives with his father, as well as with some of his school friends.
Juhan is a friendly and clever person, achieving the top place among his class in 2016, and the highest marks in science and geography. In addition, Juhan is also talented in information technology? He always cares about the well-being of those around him, despite his own personal struggles.
After his mother died in March 2017, he decided to stop going to school in order to find a job. He felt added pressure to support his father, who has health issues. Currently, Juhan works for 800rm a month in Banting. However, he is often exploited by his boss, who sometimes withholds his salary since Juhan does not possess any identity documents.
Since dropping out, Juhan has worked a variety of jobs, including as a chef, a shop assistant, and a ticket seller. He has had to run and hide often in order to avoid being caught by the immigration authorities, and sometimes cannot leave his house.
Because he misses his friends at school, and with the persuasion of his teachers, he decided to return to YCK's learning center.
However, due to their unstable financial condition, Juhan now faces the challenge of covering his school expenses, and his family's rent.
YCK would like to raise RM500 per month in order to help Juhan cover his education and basic living expenses.
