About Event

We have fully raised S$2,100 for Madam Indahsari and her family. Thank you for all your generous donations! To help other ROHI recipients: http://www.simplygiving.com/NonProfit/2ddc4817-1175-49a8-b220-bd09b1e59f34 If any money is collected in excess of the target, it will be channelled to other recipients.

Singaporeans Mr Muhammad Sulhiddin Mardini, 35, and Madam Indahsari Rachmad Sophian, 33, were both injured in an accident on Pan-Island Expressway on the 16 April. Mr Sulhiddin, the sole breadwinner, suffered serious injuries and is still lying unconscious in the hospital. Madam Indahsari, a homemaker, is fortunate to escape with a fractured toe and abrasions to the right side of her body.

They have 2 boys, aged 9 and 4. On the night of the accident, they were heading to Mr Sulhiddin's parents' home to celebrate their youngest son's birthday. They were hit twice on that fateful night, and till today, they still do not know who hit them.

Mr Sulhiddin works as a freelance Rope Access Supervisor and was due to leave for a 2-week assignment in Sri Lanka the next day. Mr Sulhiddin sustained severe brain injury and cervical spine fracture. He will require prolonged hopstalisation and treatment. The family is lost and devastated and worried because of the extent of the injuries.

ROHI is helping to raise S$700 per month, for the month of May, June and July 2016, to help the family, in the interim, cope with child care fees and groceries. We hope this will provide relief to Madam Indahsari while she cares for Mr Sulhiddin and seeks help from the Social Service Office for a more long-term solution, and also goes to HDB to see if she can sell her flat and downgrade to a smaller flat.
