Yellow House

Yellow House, a local grassroots NGO, has been working with marginalised, vulnerable communities since 2011. In order to have maximum impact, Yellow House thoroughly assesses the needs of these communities to match them with existing opportunities. Over the years, Yellow House has touched the lives of thousands of beneficiaries and in the process have developed a deep understanding of the needs of these communities who often rely on daily/weekly wages to make ends meet. With the pandemic outbreak happening around the world, Project S.O.U.P aims to ensure that there are food on the table for more than 200 underprivileged families, including the elderly and refugees. We will start delivering care packages to families in Ampang, and gradually expand our support to those in need in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Our aim is to ensure that everyone has food on their table - one family at a time.Funds raised will be used to send monthly care packages to more than 200 families. Care packages include basic necessities and food.[Update @ 15 April 2020]Thank you for your generous support to date!As the MCO continues to be extended, more and more families are reaching out to us for help. In response, we are extending our fund-raising campaign and increasing our target to reach up to 700 families. Based on their needs and family composition, we are adding infant milk, diapers and feminine hygiene products to the food care packages. Any contribution, big or small, will help these households get through this trying time.Check out our efforts at:Web: https://yellowhousekl.com/ngoFB: https://www.facebook.com/yellowhouseklIF: https://www.instagram.com/yellowhouseklFor corporate sponsorship, please contact Shyam at 018-367 4852.

Love 21 Foundation

The Inaugural Kung Hei Fun-Run Choi After a glutinous Christmas in Hong Kong, we were keen to get fit and also give back to the local community. Love 21 Foundation is a local Hong Kong charity supporting the Down syndrome and autistic community in Hong Kong through sport, nutrition and holistic support programmes. Many of our friends have been involved with the foundation in the past and have seen the amazing work that they do firsthand. We were inspired to raise as much money as we can through a fun-run whilst trimming down our waist lines at the same time! Thank you for donating to the Love 21 Foundation and supporting our inaugural event!

I believe that big things can grow from small acts of kindness. Just as a forest begins from a single seed, huge impacts are rooted in generosity and the willingness to make a difference. That’s why I’m supporting this tree planting programme in Papua: an opportunity to protect the environment, while also providing shade, food and a source of income for local people. It’s a win-win situation!Your donation will go directly into adopting a tree on Yotoro Island, helping bind the soils together, preventing erosion and landslides; and uniting communities through sustainable new livelihoods that support their land rights.Join me in regreening Indonesia, while also planting a seed of hope for the futures of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. Please give generously. AIESEC in Taylor's University

Being an IT student myself I've seen many student suffering without a laptop. Some have to work everyday while studying to pay for their rent or food and still unable to purchase a laptop. Children on the other hand are unable to work and can't purchase a laptop for their education needs due to their financial issue. Thus, I joined AIESEC's Speak Up program hoping for a change that not even one student would be left out as a minority because each and every student has the right to study!
