Dear Colleagues & Friends,As you may already know, I am participating in this year PruRide London “PruRide”; I will take part in Prudential RideLondon 100-mile event. I think this is a great opportunity to be a part of Prudential family by participating in this race to support Lombok on behalf of the company along with my colleagues. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for charity. For this year event, Prudential is supporting the longer-term recovery efforts of two villages in Lombok impacted by the earthquakes. As you may know, after the 7.0 earthquake that hit Lombok island last year, many homes and villages were destroyed. The upcoming programme is also part of the support announced last year to the longer-term recovery efforts in Lombok. The Foundation, together with Prudential Indonesia and Group Head Office, is providing financial support for the building of 102 temporary houses, two kindergartens, two prayer rooms and a basketball court. Prudential is working with Posko Jenggala, an local NGO in Indonesia, in providing aid to the affected region. I believe that the money raised here is best served providing shelter for some period of time. Hopefully we can reach the new target and really make a difference.Thank you all for the overwhelming support. Thank You

Save the Children Indonesia

Helping Children emerged out of mission work in the Philippines to help rebuild a church that was damaged by flooding due to a tsunami. Of course, seeing so many children and families struggling just to make it through the day impressed upon our hearts to act. Words are meaningless without action. Overtaken by the need to take action, Helping Children was established in 2008; we are an organization driven by God-spirited people working hand in hand over thousands of miles across the globe, with one simple purpose. We are a dedicated foundation; taking bold actions to get help for children in need. We know that each child - just as we do - needs love displayed in action, not just words.

Sarawak Children's Cancer Society

Hi everyone! Thank you for your interest in my campaign in effort to support the Go Bald 2019!Cancer sucks. Big time. I’m sure all of us has seen the suffering our loved ones go through when impacted by it. It is an odd, scary feeling  to be told that you have cancer. Imagine that happening for a child and their family. To undergo chemotherapy and hospitalisation , takes a lot of courage, perseverance and support for both the child and their family to pull through. As hair loss do occur when undergoing chemotherapy, I want to show support and prove that being bald, especially as a woman, does not automatically make us unattractive and strip away any identity of femininity. Being bald as a woman shouldn’t be embarrassing or even painful. This can be difficult for most of us to imagine, especially if our hair is an integral part of our identity; our crowning glory. So I believe in supporting this cause and this society, to continue helping people impacted by cancer in need of not only financial support but also the emotional support they so desperately need.Hence , I’m asking for your kindness and generosity to consider supporting this Go Bald 2019 campaign. Every contribution counts , be it big or small. Even a RM10 pledge from each and everyone of you would make a big difference . As the famous peribahasa goes,  “Sikit-sikit, lama-lama jadi bukit.”Thank you for your time reading this blurb about the Go Bald 2019 campaign that I’m supporting.  God bless you! Warm regards,Theresa (Ning Kulleh)

egy azira

Hello, everyone, My name is Egy Azira. I am 27 years old, and I am currently being diagnosed with Refractory Hodgkin Lymphoma Stage iii (B). A bulky disease, 15cm x 10cm in size, on my neck down to my thorax, Been diagnosed with cancer since August last year, I have gone through a chemo regime named ABVD, The ABVD looked promising on me as for the last cycle, the doctor told me the cancer was almost gone. I was so happy because I really worked hard on it. I put goals to be healthy by this year of 2019 until one day, three weeks after the ABVD, I noticed there was a swelling on my neck. A new lump, appeared out of nowhere. I get anxious and scared. But I let it be for a week. Few days later, I was craving for cheese cake. I asked my boyfriend to find some nice cheese cake for me, while eating I was having struggles to swallowed my food. And then, I felt like something is compressing my heart and thorax. I stopped eating my cake and asked Izham to drove me back. Everything started blank, I woke up in the emergency room. And the worried on every faces that night, still crystal clear in my mind. The first time before they diagnosed me with cancer last year, I was collapsed too. They almost intubated me because I didn't reacted towards anything. And that night, the memory strikes back. I woke up and told them I am okay. They quickly send me for some x-ray and CT scan. Got the result after a day and yes, the cancer decided to kicks back. Even harder and larger. It was very frustrating cause I really want to be healthy. I feel hopeless and losing my purposed. Again. But being myself, as everyone knows. I never really give up over things easily. Yesterday, when the doctor told me the exact planned that they've been planning for me, my world turned upside down because yeah, the issue here is, the money. THIS IS WHAT THE DOCTOR HAVE PLANNED FOR ME. Since my tumor is massively huge, they want to use the targeted chemotherapy named Brentuximab. They choose this drug because my cancer cells is rapidly increasing and it might end up spreads around my brain. The problem for Brentuximab, I need to have at least 50K to secure the drug from the drug company because as everyone knows, the drugs is quite new and very expensive that even our country couldn't afford to give subsidi over it to just anyone. The doctor told me, they can't wait for me to get the 50K or else, I won't make it. So, what they gonna do now, they gonna give me a quite high dose of drugs named IGEV. IGEV drugs can be consider salvage and hard drugs on chemotherapy. But since IGEV is the closest drug with the Brentuximab benefits, the doctor decided to use it anyway. Cost for every sessions, 2-3K not including other charges such as blood test, WBC shots. I will do this regime four times only, and will repeat the petscan after each two cycles. So, petscan alone I need around, 6-9K. If the result is good on me, I will do the transplant. The cost is, 30K. If the transplant works on me, MAYBE I DONT NEED THE BRENTUXIMAB but the doctor insist me to have it so I guess, it gonna be a long way tho. So to make it short, basically because I am short of 50K in this tight time, they gonna give me the IGEV chemo first. In hope by some time, I can manage to have the amount to do the chemo using the Brentuximab. WHEW I AM SO CONFUSED TOO. I am really confused. This is too much for me. I am still young and I want to live longer. I have a good family, a nice friends, a bubbly boyfriend, I can write poems, I am so good with thesis papers and I write paperwork's for some company too, I have so much talents and ability but why I am such a failure when it comes to cancer? I feel so frustrated now. I have no where else to go. Therefore, I am here. Even typing this breaks my heart... I am here being humble to everyone of you, to donates some on me in order for me to survive from this illness cause it really sucks sitting here knowing I couldn't do anything without money. I promise I will take care of myself do whatever it takes to fight the battles once again. I just want to live, sometime I pray that God might gonna listen to my prayers but I know, in order to survive, prayers itself won't be enough right now. So, yeah. Help me, guys. I really in need of your helps 😊

Dragonfly – A Project for Cambodia's Youth

We are from Bangladesh. Here 30 percent of the overall population live in poverty despite achieving lower-middle income country status in 2016. Lack of quality education has been identified as one of the primary reasons which prevents poverty stricken families to opt for opportunities of growth and development. In this case, underprivileged children are the worst sufferers as without proper education they fail to realize their full potential and unable to contribute to the national development process. We TEAM XE decided to make a project for helping them. The goal of this project is to tap into the underlying issues of Bangladesh's education sector which are making the country fall short in the global competition. By focusing on quality of the education in rural parts of Bangladesh, children's health and nutrition, communication skills in English and adeptness with technology; the project is empowering 3000 underprivileged children living in remote areas as Global Citizens.

Niña Therese Manzano

Hi!, I am Nina,18 yrs. old. Last December 2013, I was diagnosed with ALL (ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA) and my Pedia-Onco Hematologist suggested that I should undergo chemotherapy. I have undergone treatment for 4 years and within those years, I've experienced more difficulties and challenges. During the first month of my chemotherapy, I had a compression at my lower back in the spine from Thoracic to Lumbar level which caused me great pain. It turns out that I had OSTEOPAENIA. I was prescribed to wear body braces for 6 months. Not months after, around March 2014, I experienced STROKE. I wasn't able to move my left side. My doctor referred me to a neurologist and I was diagnosed with LACUNAR INFARCT, which, fortunately, I recovered quickly and had me undergo physical therapy and take steroids to help with the inflammation.Around 2015, I undergo RADIOTHERAPY. That was suggested by my doctor to make sure that no cancer cells to be found within my spine and brain. Chemotherapy is ongoing. IV and Oral chemotherapy, alternately taken per month as part of my maintenance and due to the treatments, I survive the chemotherapy for four years. Unfortunately, backpain and difficulty in walking have been experiencing, the Rehab Medicine doctor prescribed me to undergo MRI to know the problem, sadly the result was not good I feel devastated again it was AVASCULAR NECROSIS BOTH HIP JOINTS (FICAT AND ARLET STAGE III TO IV, BILATERAL) both of my hip joints was damaged. The Orthopaedic-Oncologist recommend to have a TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT. He told us that it is not a simple fracture and surgery is needed to avoid my hips to collapse. Both hips should be replaced with an implant prostheses but due to lack of funding and the probability of my body's survival from losing a lot of blood during the surgery, the surgeon only replaced one hip particularly, the most damaged ones, the right hip. The procedure was done recently last May 2018. I undergone physical therapy days after the surgery and I am currently using a straight cane to support my left hip. I am raising this campaign to help me earn for the next part of my operation which is to replace my left hip--which starts to ache as I recover from my first surgery. I hope you could help me raise funds and I am thank you in advance for your kind hearts. The proceeds of this campaign will go to the implant prostheses, hospital bills, other medical fees and for my physical therapy. May your kind and pure hearts be blessed by The Almighty God and a big hug and thanks from me. I appreciate it a lot in helping me raise funds.

Being born in a very poor family, I grew up with no help from other people. It was a very hard life. Despite the lack in financial support, I was lucky to have a family  that helps each other. I started working when I was 8 years old (helping my mom sell anything) so that my siblings and I can go to school. Hardships were there but we were fighting for it! Unfortunate things happened. My Mom killed herself when I was 15. My youngest brother died four years after that (I was 19). My dad died when I was 22. Imagine the kid in me going through that! But then again, my remaining siblings and I pushed through life with smiles on our faces. Yes there were tears, but because we have each other, we prevailed! Now I am successful in my chosen field, but I am not rich at all! However, I realized that my life was not that hard compared to other kids that didn't have the kind of support that I had. So helping them is a way for me to give back. Helping these kids will help our world in the long run. Please donate. Not for me, but for them. So that our world will be full of smiles instead of tears.

Hi!I’m Julian, 32 years old, from Metro Manila Philippines. I have twin 3 year old daughters, and I’m a cyclist.Last month, March 6,2019, I had a horrible accident that resulted in multiple fractures. Broken right wrist, misaligned left elbow, dislocated hip, a few cracks on my skull (facial part), a few stitches on my face, and 2 broken front teeth. It happened during a cycling tune up race, when suddenly, I slammed into a truck and broke the weindshield, and dented the front grill. I honestly didn’t know how it happened. Most likely, I have blacked out while pedaling, due the ongoing extreme heat in our country. I didn’t feel a thing when I slammed into the truck. All I can remember is, I was unconcious for 30 minutes (according to the witnesses, and the people who helped me).I consider this as a big big turning point in my life. I have two daughters to raise, and a hospital bill that cost a fortune. I don’t have money anymore, and I still owe 60,000 Pesos, because my health benefits didn’t cover that much. I am under financial trouble right now. I need to support my kids, need money for my therapy, but I only have 42 Pesos in my bank. I am currently on medical unpaid leave for my healing, that’s why I don’t have money at all. I really hope you can help. This is pretty much a straight forward explanation, because I am desperate, and this problem has been haunting me for days. Thank you so much in advance! Wishing you all an awesome day ahead!!

Mohamad Izham

My name is Mohamad Izham. 30 years old. Back in 2014, I have been diagnosed with Stage iii (b) of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer. In urgency, the doctor started the treatment with ABVD because my tumor at that particular moment, was big and might cause me any other problems. The ABVD regime, which consist of 6 cycles eventually responded very well to my body and after 6 months juggling between 12 times of chemos and depression , the doctor finally told me that the cancer, was gone. But 4 months after the remission and living a healthy lifestyle, the cancer decided to came back. The doctor told me that the cancer has relapsed and I need to go through another treatment which is, ICE. ICE regime was hard on me, it was salvage and ruined my daily activities. Consisted of 4 cycles of chemotherapy, with 3 days of straight infusion followed by 15 times of radiotherapy and the autologust stem cells transplant, the doctor finally told me that the cancer was gone, again. I was so happy and grateful that I have won the battle twice by spending almost RM 200K just to keep me alive. However, aint like any other fairytales. My happy moment, it only lasted for 2 years and half. Earlier this month, the doctor have told me that the cancer strikes back in my body and it’s too big. They wanted to start the treatment on me immediately but my problem is, I don’t have enough money to go through the treatment which it gonna roughly cost me around RM 350K. Being a fighter for this thing long time ago, didn’t break my spirit to fight it again now. The issue for me, is only the money. I am ready to win this battle like how I used to win before. The doctor told me they gonna use the targeted therapy on me since this is my second relapsed in hope that the cancer will be forever gone. The targeted therapy consisted of Brentuximab and Bendamustine for 16 cycles, which gonna costs me around RM 280, 140.00. And I need to do another transplant of allogenic and it might gonna add on extra costs which is RM 50, 000. 00And here I am now, on this site, being humble asking for helps from everyone around this world, to fund my treatment cost so I can fight it again and again. To keep on living like a normal people does. To finally able to be fit again. To finally being a healthy man and continue my dream to live this life to the fullest. To make my family less worried about my condition and able to sleep peacefully at night knowing that I am fine enough.I promise with all the donation that I am gonna get soon, I will fight this sickness with all my will until it no longer able to comeback like how it did now.
