Mary Desiree Tiangco

I am an a graduate of Bachelor in Science in Electrical Engineering and currently employed in Philippines. I obtain my degree by working as a student assistant and by applying for scholarships. My family are selling native delicacies in the market to provide our needs. Ever since I was in grade school, I assisted the patient by being her eyes along the road, guiding her way to go in her check ups, seminars and other activities. I learn to inject the insulin to her body since I was young. I wanted to help her by providing her monthly needs. I wanted to make her happy and hope for life even though she is blind. I hope that you can support us.

MAKNA | Majlis Kanser Nasional

Klimb Kinabalu – Fight Against Cancer MAKNA turns 25 this year!To significantly mark the milestone, MAKNA hasbeen able to gather 25 climbers, including cancer survivorswho will summit Mount Kinabalu on 29 July 2019. The expedition, named as Klimb Kinabalu is part of MAKNA’s most anticipated annual fundraising effort. Climbing the 4,095meter-Mount Kinabalu is regarded by each individual climber as a personal journey and challenge. Each individual has had their own story coming face-to-face with cancer, battling the dreaded disease. Every story is unimaginably harrowing but still inspiring. Besides cancer survivors, this group of 25 climbers is made up care givers, cancer patients’ family members, their friends, colleagues, volunteers and other individuals like you. All-in-all, there are 25 touching stories waiting to be shared. The word “CANCER” can sometimes bring us down, but to this group of survivors, caregivers and volunteers, they will be going all out to lift others up. They have come together to inspire those undergoing cancer treatments to become active despite their diagnosis, with the sole and special aim to raise awareness and generate funds. This team that will soon embark the said journey would like to appeal to your generosity in making “a small donation” as a token of your support towards this cause. Donations received will ultimately be channeled to deserving and poor cancer patients in Malaysia. When the funds start to flow in steadily and gradually reach the target, this will certainly be a morale booster to all climbers. Every donation counts, it brings a meaning to someone’s life. Click DONATE button to donate.

Ryxian Blake M. Gatan is a four-month-old baby boy of both of my close friends Romar Anthony Gatan & Ivy Macapallag during college times.Last month, we have been informed that baby blake was rushed to the hospital because of a simple cough and fever (we have this group chat on messenger along with our other close friends). A few weeks later, we were shocked to know the news that he was transferred to a private hospital in our province Isabela (St. Paul Hospital at Tuguegarao) and admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and diagnosed of Pneumonia and Sepsis (Blood Infections) and Acute Kidney Failure and other severe complications. Due to his conditions in this very young age, he has to endure the pain.Their current hospital bills have escalated to almost 300,000 pesos (PHP) and it would be a great help for them if we could share some of our financial assistance for their baby's hospital bill and hospital need.As a friend, we are more than heartbroken at this very moment for them. They are like family to us.Let us help baby Blake for this battle. To little fighter  Baby Blake, you are such a brave little man. Me, your other Godparents excited to see you smile and laugh again. We are patiently waiting and praying for your fast recovery. We know you can past through this. Project Heart Malaysia

The Hiranis are planning to climb the Highest Mountain in Southeast Asia: Mt. Kinabalu in Malaysia. The Climb will take place across 4 days and I'm stoked! However, those who know my husband will know that he isn't quite up for the challenge (and wasn't given a choice either)... I will need all the emotional support to tolerate him during this adventure, so if you'd like to see him mumble, grumble, and be in a little bit of pain, please donate generously in exchange for photographic evidence of his experience. The proceeds of the climb will go towards the Project Heart Malaysia which provides the underprivileged children with necessities, education and economic empowerment!!

Friends-International

I am buying my first ever pair of running shoes to run the10km at the Angkor Wat Half Marathon in Cambodia. So, I am challenging myself to run in 34(+) degrees heat and ridiculous humidity to raise money for Friends International. Friends International work with children, youth and families across Southeast Asia. They help to reintegrate children back into education and provide young adults with amazing training to support them in gaining the confidence to kickstart their careers and adult life. Whilst working for Friends I have been fortunate enough to see first hand the incredible work they are doing! Any support that you can offer is very much appreciated and will make my first "proper" run worth every step!!

BRANCHES OF HOPE

I was very fortunate to come to Hong Kong with a valid visa, a stable job, loving friends and supportive colleagues already lined up. Not everyone who makes the journey here receives such a soft landing. As I am in the midst of clearing out my apartment and packing up my belongings to move countries once again as someone with the privilege of choosing to do so, I have little need for any additional materials goods. Instead, I'd be really happy if anyone wishing to make a donation would pledge their money to support the work of Branches of Hope - an NGO that assists refugees and other vulnerable people who arrive in Hong Kong under more challenging circumstances.
