Severe tropical storm Nalgae (locally named Paeng) has brought heavy rains and strong winds to the Philippines and affected hundreds of thousands of people including BARMM with over 557,000 people affected. (refliefweb.net)Six (6) of our Kapatiran schools in Maguindanao have been affected, destroying their classrooms, books, supplies, equipment, and other learning resources. These schools are very special to me, they are my inspiration since we started Teach Peace Build Peace Movement in 2013. Your donation will help them buy school supplies, printers, equipment, and other learning resources that they need when they open up for classes again. Instead of a cake or a gift, help me raise funds for them, and together, let us help them rebuild their learning spaces for their learners.Thank you so much!

ONE DREAM KIT GOES A LONG WAY!!! HOW CAN YOU HELP? Sponsor a Learner | Php 200.00 - Each school pack costs Php 200.00 with a drawstring bag , 6 pieces of grade-sensitive notebooks, 5 pencils/ball pens, 1 crayon, 1 ruler, 2 pads of paper and scissorsSponsor a Class | Php 10,000.00 - A normal class in our 8 Kapatiran School is 50 students per class. Hello, guys! I am Theo Nacionales San Pedro. A development worker, educator, and advocate and I have been working and volunteering to different Non Government Organisations (NGOs) and TEACH PEACE BUILD PEACE MOVEMENT (TPBPM) is one of the NGOs that I have been in love and deeply attached with their mission. Quoted: “Making every Filipino Child a Peace Hero”. I am a volunteer for almost 2 years for TPBPM. I saw how they work and how they change a conflict area into a peaceful one and create Peace Heroes within children, parents, teachers and community and youth leaders. I, myself is the living attestation that TPBPM is a family that changes the perspective of a person into a peaceful one with their thoughts, words, and actions. We all know that peace is like a journey which needs to be processed and it takes time but TPBPM are believing that one day we could achieve peace all throughout the country and beyond. The impact of their projects are unquantifiable because it really change lives from conflict one into a peaceful one. The people behind the organisation and its wide network of volunteers from all over the country are working towards its vision and mission to create more Peace Heroes in the future. Last February - March 2019, I was one of the volunteers that have been invited to facilitate the program or project in Marawi City and its nearby towns. I saw personally the changes that TPBPM had created to its beneficiaries and partners. It was my first time to joined the mission and it changes my perspective in terms of my emotional, spiritual, and psychological being. It makes my soul happy. Moreover, PEACE GIFTS PROJECT 2019 is where school supplies or DREAM KITS are going to be given to the Elementary Students of partner schools or Kapatiran Schools of TPBPM. By donating in this project, you may help one student, one family and a community that will create an impact for a lifetime. You will inspire them to pursue their dreams and achieve it. This fundraising is not only for myself to be infamous but this is for the beneficiaries of TPBPM. Also, you may opt to sponsor one class of 60 students or one school. Furthermore, DONATE NOW AND LET’S CREATE A MORE MEANINGFUL DEEDS AND A PEACEFUL AND BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN!

One Dream Kit can make a difference as we inspire and sustain children's education one at a time. April 20, 2019 | I just turned 4 years in my Peacebuilding advocacy with Teach Peace Build Peace Movement Inc. as I serve our schools and communities. As I immerse myself both in conflict and non-conflict areas, one of the realizations I’ve had is the importance of school and education as we also mold their young hearts and minds towards their individual life, and where their dreams are imagined and realized. Fuelled by my passion to educate and motivated to serve for peace I want to give back to our Younger Brothers and Sisters most especially in conflict areas in Maguindanao and Marawi to go to school. This 2019 Back to School, help me build our 100 Younger Brothers and Sisters or equivalent to 2 classrooms dreams come true by supporting their education through the Peace Gifts Project as we give them school supplies. Altogether our simple acts of kindness can go a long way.Sponsor a Learner | Php 200.00 - Each school pack costs Php 200.00 with a drawstring bag , 6 pieces of grade-sensitive notebooks, 5 pencils/ball pens, 1 crayon, 1 ruler, 2 pads of paper and scissorsSponsor a Class | Php 10,000.00 - A normal class in our 8 Kapatiran School is 50 students per class. Bernard and I believe that each person can be a peace builder and deliver social justice. And so, we would like to get you involved in what we are passionate about by serving the children of Marawi and their families. Marawi is home to the Maranao people of the Philippines. The Islamic city boasted of rich culture and beautiful architecture, including the Grand Mosque, Buildings of Mindanao State University, and even the Catholic cathedral of St. Mary's. Marawi in itself was peaceful habitat for both Muslims and Christians. This peace, however, was interrupted when the city was under siege of the Maute rebel group in May 2017, followed by the five-month long battle with the Philippine security forces. The aftermath left Marawi in a "Ground Zero" state and under Martial Law. Moreover, families remained displaced from their homes while taking refuge in shelters, students have to take informal classes in makeshift schools in neighboring cities, and adults have no source of livelihood. Undeniably, citizens of Marawi are crying for healing from their trauma and the devastation of their war-torn city. With your donation, you are empowering the efforts of Teach Peace Build Peace Movement (TPBPM) to give hope to the children of Marawi and their families. TPBPM is one of the organizations that have pledged to support Marawi citizens since the time of the siege, and until now the NGO is present with refugees, providing counseling and "peace gifts" among other needs.Watch TPBPM's work here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDJUFl7d0Uw&feature=youtu.be

Mindanao, Philippines(South) has been in an ongoing conflict for decades. A war broke out last year causing devastating destruction in the area, specifically in Marawi. Families flee their homes, there's shortage of basic needs and more than 300,000 people were displaced. I am committed to be part of the solution in rebuilding communities and breaking the cycle of war. There's power in being at peace with yourself(my mantra lately) and everyone around you. Teach Peace Build Peace Movement is working towards that! Teach Peace Build Peace Movement (TPBPM) is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization that aims to make every Filipino child and youth a peace builder. TPBPM spearheads a strategic initiative running Peace Education programs for children in conflict and non-conflict zones using a holistic approach. For my birthday this year, I am traveling to Mindanao, Philippines for two weeks together with TPBP Movement's team to participate in their Peace Mission this Spring. Help me raise money to fund operational and logistical costs of their programs! Through building a Culture of Peace and Inclusivity, we can create new possibilities in the lives of these kids. Let's make this happen! Thank YOU and much love!Christine
