I grew up having dogs as pets in my family. I believe their love is very powerful. Their love can heal almost any heartbreak. Unfortunately, I have not been able to extend much help financially or physically to animal shelters that are struggling. I want to change that this year. I believe a joint effort would help raise more funds for a particular animal shelter that I have been following lately - MAWA. My target is very huge this time, I know. We are students from Diploma in Food Science Year 1, Semester 1, Group 1 in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC), Kuala Lumpur campus. We are taking Civic Consciousness and Volunteerism course in this semester as our class based assessment is to raise fund for the charity from 15 November 2021 until 6 December 2021. The theme of our project is ‘Spread Your Kindness’. Our mission is to raise fund minimum of RM1900 in this project.The main reason we are choosing this charity because we all hope that this project able to help the strays & abandoned animals and let them relieve from suffering. We wish to feed them as well as ordering them a shelter to live.All funds raised will be sent to the trusted charity organisation, Malaysian Animal Welfare Association through this reliable platform, Simply Giving. We will not receive any profit by the end of this fundraising project.We would like to invite the public to join us as a little help from you, it might make a huge changes for the strays ＆ abandoned animals.Thank You!

There are many shelters trying their best to protect animals from harm, to protect their voice and right to live freely in the world. And now, one of them needs OUR help. MAWA's old home is on the brink of destruction, and they're trying their BEST TO BUILD A NEW, BETTER, SAFER HOME for the dogs and puppies in their care. They urgently need to re-locate, and time is running out. MAWA pleads with you to spare any amount possible to help the dogs have a new home. Without funds, the home cannot exist. And if the home cannot exist, the dogs will be back on the streets to fend for themselves.WHY SHOULD I HELP? Here is why. Animals are creatures of this Earth, just like you and me. What they want is simple; to survive, to love and be loved, to live without fear. Only problem is, they can't communicate as well as us, and for some reason, people seem to think it's okay to beat, kick, burn, torture, and kill them with no mercy.Sounds like hell, doesn't it? For many dogs on the streets, it really is.Now, MAWA need RM 35,000 (MYR) to build a proper dog shelter with enough food, water, electricity, large cages, drainage, amenities, and utilities. With a large, beautiful, complete home like this, we can save thousands of dogs from the street. So many lives that get to thrive. All we need is your kind support and any amount that you can spare. Malaysian Animal Welfare Association (MAWA) Furkids Home Relocation in Malaysia Due to safety concern and also requirement that DVS has set, we have to relocate our current shelter to a new place. We have been sourcing for a land all this while and finally found a bigger place at Hulu Langat. It's a 1 acre land that comes with water supply and electricity. This will allow us to have someone stationed there for 24 hours compared to our current shelter which does not have water supply and does not have electricity. The cost to set up this place will be as following: 1. Land clearance - RM12500 2. Metal Deck Fencing around the land RM20000 3. Furkids House - RM 50000 4. Drainage & Sewage System - RM10000 The above-mentioned cost is based on an estimation given to us. A kind hearted soul has contributed for the land clearance for now. However, we need to raise the funds to start the fencing and shelter construction.
