USM Scuba Diving Club is a club under the Aquatic Division (Scuba, Lifeguard, Swimming Division, Swimming Team) of the Sports Centre (Unit Sukan) of Universiti Sains Malaysia. The goals of USM Scuba Diving Club can be summarised by its mission and vision. Vision Towards an active and sustainable Scuba Diving Club. Mission -Mission S.E.A S-Scuba Diving Scuba Diving Club USM as a platform for students and staff of USM to engage in sustainable scuba diving related activities. E-Environment Scuba Diving Club USM as a society that is passionate about the marine and coastal environment and will take necessary steps to safeguard it. A-Awareness Scuba Diving Club USM as an entity that promotes awareness and education on the marine environment at a university, community and national level.

I'm a full time scuba diving instructor who is privileged to see the beautiful coral reefs underwater. During my free time, I volunteer with several marine related NGOs to help increase awareness about the need to care for our fragile environment and marine world. I hope you can all help me achieve my fundraising target of RM2,000.

Reef Check is the world's largest non-profit organization dedicated to conservation of coral reef ecosystems around the world. Reef Check Malaysia was established in 2007 to protect, restore and revive coral reefs in Malaysia. Certified Reef Check EcoDivers conduct annual surveys and rehabilitation programmes to assess and improve health of reefs. Your contribution will help Reef Check Malaysia to support its 2016 survey programme on 200 coral reef sites around Malaysia. Be part of this cause! Reef Check is the world’s largest international coral reef monitoring programme involving volunteer recreational divers and marine scientists. Its mission is to raise awareness of the importance of, and threats to, coral reefs. Part of the worldwide Reef Check network, Reef Check Malaysia (RCM) was registered as a non-profit organization in 2007. Since then, it has used the results of its annual Reef Check surveys to highlight numerous problems faced by coral reefs in Malaysia, including overfishing, pollution and sedimentation from land-based development. We work with government and the private sector to find solutions to these problems. Almost all our funds come from donations, from both companies and individuals.
