Who are we raising Funds for?Agathian Shelter is a properly registered welfare home located in Petaling Jaya. It relies heavily on donations and goodwill. Post COVID, find raising has been particularly challenging with everyone under their own financial pressures. The PubCycle23 event is an annual 60 km ride organised with the support of a number of local bars and restaurants who generously support the event financially and provide (strictly non-alcoholic) refreshments for the riders. The event is now in its 11th year.Each rider is responsible for raising their own sponsorship with a minimum contribution of RM 300. Patrons at each location are kindly requested to make a small donation with their food/drink order on the day of the ride. Founded in 2003, Agathians Shelter is a welfare home sheltering 40 boys who are either orphaned, abandoned or from broken homes between the ages 5-20 years old.They provide a home, education, food, curriculum activities and other basic needs. In addition, they provide family-based counselling, play therapy and community services to further support the boys.We believe that no child should feel afraid for their security in accessing education, arts, food, shelter, and care. We want to help these boys know that they are seen, cared for, and our top priority. Thank you for being here, their success is yours too.The funds go directly to the Agathians shelter to support specific aspects; Meals, groceries, utility bills, school fees, books, learning equipment, household items and toys."Our mission is to save the children from the streets. Our aim is to fulfil all essential needs in every kid’s life such as shelter, food, education, care, attention and love. Agathians was founded in 2003 in Petaling Jaya and houses approximately 40 boys (aged 5 to 20 years old), who are either orphans, abandoned or from broken families. Their primary mission is to save the children from the streets and fulfil essential needs such as shelter, food, education and care. The children are provided with facilities to conduct activities in areas such as music, sports, information technology and living skills. With your donation to provie the adequate physical and multimedia tools, these boys can be equipped with skills and hobbies to develop a positive mind-set and lifestyle. Your donations would be greatly appreciated and can be expected to go towards school costs, clothing and books as they start a new school year in 2018.
