Dear family and friends,As one of the Famine Advocates of World Vision Malaysia, I'm taking part in a fundraiser.I just came back from an eye-opening trip to India and witnessed how World Vision works tirelessly with children and families to overcome extreme poverty and injustice. World Vision works to promote human transformation, and serve all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.Safety is my first concern when I know that I’m going to India. The staffs from World Vision successfully ensure our safety when we were arranged to stay at a residential house in the village. Numbul is my hosting family. Upon arrival, Numbul asked us if we want to take bath. We said yes. Her house did not have water heater thus she boiled hot water for us. I showered with full of love and care. The interaction between the family members and the staffs from World Vision made me feel that they are full of love. It doesn’t matter how big the house is, it’s how happy the family is! The staffs from World Vision are serving the community as though they are their siblings. This is how the trust is created. We are GLOBAL CITIZEN! Together we can promote peace, freedom & equality. My name is Peter Yoong and I am an avid cyclist. I planned a 2-year (starting in November 2017) solo cycling tour around the world, however, it was temporarily stopped due to an emergency and pandemic that hit the world when I reached France in October 2018. I’m now resuming my bicycle tour from where I stopped in October 2018 at Le Bourget du Lac, France, and continue my effort to raise funds for World Vision Malaysia. I like to seek your kind consideration in partnering with me by making a donation. All tour expenses will be self-funded so all donations will be directed to World Vision Malaysia. Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, I am a proud father of three who has been passionate about cycling all my life. Now that my sons have grown up, I want to realize my dream of completing a cycling trip around the world. A short write-up on my cycling experience can be found in the article in the gallery below. I will be traveling by bicycle through many countries, starting and ending in Malaysia; and passing through Asia, Europe, and North America. I will be stopping at key destinations along the way to give presentations about my trip and share stories, and nice photos on my social media. All donations will be channeled to World Vision Malaysia's Education Fund. Your donation will help provide basic education opportunities to children, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, and physical disabilities; equipping them socially, economically, and emotionally to face life’s challenges ahead. To sponsor, individuals or corporate groups can commit to donating a fixed amount per kilometer cycled (e.g. 1km = RM1/1 USD). If you commit for the whole 1 year, your corporate branding will be added to my bicycle gear and featured in my presentations. WORLD VISION’S 30-HOUR FAMINE is a global youth movement against hunger and poverty. Every year since 1997, thousands of young Malaysians come together to raise money by getting sponsored to give up solid food or something they love for 30 hours straight. Funds raised will support World Vision programs that help hungry children and families in the Philippines, India, China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Mongolia, and Malaysia to tackle poverty by improving access to nutritious food, clean water, better sanitation, education, and child protection. In a few weeks' time I will be working closely with hundreds of other World Vision volunteers in Kuala Lumpur in supporting community development programs for vulnerable communities. 感谢您浏览我的筹款页面！圣诞节跫音即临，每年这一个月份，我都会筹备一项慈善筹款活动，希望孩子们挂着一张张的笑脸度过佳节。 佳节的脚步渐近，正当我们在懊恼着要买些什么礼物与友人交换、到哪里游玩的当儿，您可知道世界上的各个角落有着百万名孩童正在哭泣。他们流泪的原因不是得不到礼物，而是那些对我们而言轻而易得的东西，比如教育机会、医疗保健和干净水源等等。因此「孩有你 · 孩有希望」活动旨在2016年1月之前筹获300万令吉，透过社区发展计划，改善逾47,000人的生活。 筹款活动截至日期为本月31日，可谓逼在眉睫，我尚把目标筹款款项设为RM1,000。引用世界宣明会创始人鲍勃·皮尔斯的一句话： “我可能拥有的东西并不多，但我拒绝什么都不做！” 也许和300万令吉比起来，显得有点单薄，但是我坚信聚少成多聚沙成塔，无数个1000令吉终能聚集成300万令吉甚至更多！而最重要的是，透过此项活动凝聚大家的爱心，让大家发现筹款和做有意义的事情，那种施比受更有福的意义所在。筹备过无数个慈善活动的我，第一次把筹款工作移到网络世界，希望通过我的部落格，纪录整个筹款活动过程，刻录每一刻令人感动的瞬间～衷心地希望得到您的支持，让我们齐力募集善款支援世界宣明会的发展计划，以确保贫困社区的孩童有个光明未来。我的部落格：http://kakalinawak.blogspot.com希伯来书 13:16 "不可忘记行善和捐输的事，因为这样的祭是神所喜悦的。"Hebrews 13:16 "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God."

Childhood, often participate in activities. Now, it is often involved in the preparatory activities. 10 years old, know Malaysia World Vision, but was unable to participate because of their age, parents also think that I'm playing. Now I am 14 years old, in the past four years I have seen more or less the Malaysia World Vision's activities, 30 hunger, starvation eight hours, to raise funds for flood Kelantan. Small me two years Crystal Lee contribution. Four years later, I decided to re-engage my choice. I believe I made the right decision, I hope the child sponsorship programs for children can be happier than ever before, I also want to pay a force for them.

Did you know millions of kids live in poverty? They cannot afford education, proper healthcare and even clean water! We are a small group of home schooling kids. We understand how essential education is to everyone, especially those who cannot afford to buy books, go to school, etc. An education for the the needy children can help society and strengthen a country's economic growth.The funds we raise will be used to help with Education and Water/Health projects in Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, China, Indonesia, Lesotho, South Africa and Vietnam.
