This is the same vision we have for our annual fundraiser where each donation is a seed which will assist someone else through our camps.Seeds of Deeds aims to empower underserved communities from various backgrounds. We strive to provide students with substantial exposure and experience to nurture their inner potential and to raise awareness of the importance of education. The camp is constructed to guide and motivate selected students from the semi-urban and rural spheres by acknowledging the barriers faced and acting upon them.This year, Small Changes remains committed in our effort to continue benefitting many deserving beneficiaries. But, we need a helping hand. Join us in our journey to tackle education inequalities in Malaysia by donating any amount of money. Growing up, I always knew I was fortunate. I lived in a cozy home with loving parents who provided everything I needed, from new clothes and warm meals to a quality education. Every step of my childhood was paved with opportunities that many kids only dreamt of. As I grew older, I became more aware of the stark differences between my life and the lives of other children in my community. Some of my classmates wore the same worn-out clothes every day, their eyes reflecting the struggles they faced at home. I learned that many of these kids were orphans or from vulnerable backgrounds, battling hardships I couldn't even imagine. They had no one to help them with their homework, no quiet space to study, and no encouragement to pursue their dreams. One day, I visited a local orphanage and the children I met were bright and eager to learn, but they lacked the resources and support that had always been available to me. I realized that my privilege came with a responsibility. Hence I join this program "Project Beanstalk" in hope to help in bridging the education gap for orphans and vulnerable children. I believe, this good cause will help in building bridges—bridges of hope, knowledge, and opportunity to those who are less fortunates.

This year's project will benefit children & teens from Rumah Sentuhan Budi, Asrama Bahagia & Rumah Raudhatul Al-Faeez. Our aim is to empower them through the usage of English and provide the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive for the future. NGEMBAK PAWS: A TALE OF COMPASSION AND CHANGE I've always had a heart full of love for stray animals and a passion for education. In Malaysia, I often encounter stray cats and dogs, hungry and in need of care. Inspired to make a difference, I launched Ngembak Paws, an initiative dedicated to feeding these furry friends.Every RM 10 donated to Ngembak Paws provides a meal for a stray cat or dog, ensuring they receive the nourishment they need. But the impact doesn't stop there. All the funds raised through this project are channeled into educational initiatives in Malaysia, managed by Small Changes. These programs aim to empower young minds, offering them the tools and resources to build a brighter future.Through Ngembak Paws, my mission is twofold: to provide immediate care and love to the strays of Malaysia, and to support long-term educational projects that uplift communities across Malaysia. "Life 101: Things You Don't Need but You Actually Do .."A fundraise initiative by Naz & Farah as they approached life thinking what were the things that could be of help but still important to know. Some of which who didn't get to learn but want to or a refresher to the things maybe people already know of but have forgotten about it. Targeting to raise a total of RM 500 to support underprivileged teens with education gap in Sarawak, they will contribute to four (4) series/episodes on sharing things relating to Life (i.e. RM 125 for each one)We hope you can support us in this project and/or our series as we aim to fundraise before the time ends. This initiative aims to narrow the educational gap for students in Sarawak, particularly those from rural schools who often fall behind compared to their peers in urban areas.@smallchangesmy's Ngembak Blaja 2024 project is dedicated to uplifting B40 students from underprivileged backgrounds by fostering their growth into well-rounded individuals. Our project will enhance communication skills through intensive English language workshops and interactive group activities, empowering students with the tools they need to succeed academically and personally. This year, our efforts will benefit 65 Form 4 students from SMK Bako, SMK Bandar Samariang, and SMK Semerah Padi. To support this cause, I will commit to running 1KM for every RM10 donated. The program combines teaching English with nurturing good characteristics among the selected students. I am incredibly excited and grateful to be chosen, among 56 participants. However, to be in Sarawak, I have to reach a donation goal of RM250. Hence, to everyone reading, I humbly ask for your donation to make the program a reality. I am excited to share my involvement with Small Changes, an NGO dedicated to bridging the education gap for orphans and vulnerable teenagers through Project Beanstalk. This initiative takes us to orphanages and rehabilitation centers, where we conduct modules on leadership, financial literacy, digitalization, confidence building, and emotional intelligence.Currently, we are raising funds to support our empowerment projects—Seeds of Deeds, SC Ngembak Belajar!, and Project Beanstalk. These projects serve underprivileged B40 students, students in corrective institutions, and orphans across Malaysia. Our fundraising campaign, FundRangers, runs from May 2024 to September 2024 and aims to not only gather funds but also raise awareness about volunteerism and the needs of underserved groups in Malaysia.Volunteers, known as FundRangers, are encouraged to plan and execute their own fundraising activities. As part of this effort, I will be organizing a bake sale on a pre-order basis and setting up booths to contribute to this cause. Truthfully, I believe that as humans we can never fully find fulfillment if we only look inwards in search for self-love. This is because true fulfillment comes from caring for others as well and falling in love with the wisdom that comes with it. Hence, I hope we will start to also look outwards and strive to make a positive impact on each others' lives not just because we need to, but also because we want to.I often find myself wondering if luck had it differently, would I be the one counting on others' good grace to help me get by in this world? I believe it is truly important that we acknowledge our privilege and realize that the comfort we are enjoying is purely out of luck; that we did not do anything to fully deserve it. As such, we hold a collective responsibility in fostering a community that embraces equity in order to build an environment that will help everyone thrive -- the easiest step would be to close the educational gap within our society! Volunteering has been something I look forward to every year. This year, I’m working with Small Changes as a facilitator for an empowerment project; Seeds of Deeds: Girls In Action where the beneficiaries would explore module-based learning revolving around English proficiency, personal development, women empowerment, emotional intelligence, and financial literacy. Our beneficiaries come from all different walks of life. But one thing stands: they deserve to have a bright future. And it would be our role, you and me, to provide the necessary support and guidance for them. Ours might be in the form of creating holistic modules and organizing camps. But I will need your help in providing us with monetary support through this fundraising. With your help, all Ringgit collected will be used towards providing our beneficiaries with the Welcoming Kit consisting of a complete set of stationeries and module handbooks. For every RM10 of your donation, a platter of cut fruits will be distributed around TTDI and Pusat Bandar Damansara to encourage healthy snacking habits.Let's come together to create a healthier lifestyle for us and a better future for them.Footnote: All proceeds will be channeled directly to Small Changes and will be wholly and exclusively utilized for camp purpose.
