In 2018, Victor Consunji and Enrico Menichetti ran the extra mile for the benefit of children in need by joining the 2018 Marathon Des Sables in Morocco. Coined 'the toughest foot race on earth', the race pushed them to the limits. But through the support of their friends and family, Victor and Enrico were able to finish the race strong, and raise enough funds to provide water facilities, school supplies, and proper nutrition to children in Bohol, Malabon, and Batangas.Inspired by their previous success and armed with the motivation to help more children, Victor and Enrico are joining the 2019 Fire + Ice Ultra Marathon in support of World Vision's 1000 Girls Campaign to empower girls to achieve their dreams through education.Dubbed as Iceland’s Toughest Multi-Terrain Foot Race, the trail run includes 250 km of lava fields, volcanic ash, sand dunes and boiling mud pools. As Victor and Enrico get closer to the finish line, children will also get a step closer to reaching their dreams. The impact of your donation:   PHP 1000 (USD 20) guarantees that two children will have new learning kits for the school year PHP 3000 (USD 60) ensures that children have access to clean water, and good hygiene and sanitation facilities within their school PHP 5000 (USD 100) will contribute to making sure that classrooms are fully functional and have adequate facilities to promote positive learning experience to children PHP 9000 (USD 180) will already sponsor a girl for one year, providing her and her community with life-changing basics like education, health and nutrition, livelihood, disaster risk reduction capabilities, child protection initiatives, and spiritual nurture programs Race details: Distance: 250+ kms (156+ miles); Terrain: Flat, Mountains, Hills; Weather: Cold, wet, Duration: 6 Days Technical rating: 10About 1000 Girls Campaign1000 Girls is a global movement of World Vision that aims to address gender discrimination, and empower girls living in areas affected by poverty to live life to the fullest through the child sponsorship program. When we were small we remember the joy and excitement of going to the shops to buy new books, stationary, school bags, shoes, and uniforms in preparation for the new school year. We have been privileged to get a good education and reach great strides in life but unfortunately, many children do not get that opportunity. Thousands of families in the Philippines are unable to meet the cost of books, uniforms, and other school supplies resulting in their children dropping out of school and due to poverty children also decided to work for their families instead of going to school. This year, I decided to raise funds, and the proceeds will go directly to World Vision Philippines. Supporting one of their mision is to provide educational supplies for less fortunate and inspired them to value education and change the local community. As you can imagine, the children we can reach through this effort is a small fraction of those that are in need. Education is invaluable gift and I would like to invite you to join me in this endeavor. Even the smallest donation will help a less-fortunate young child stay in schools and education is a pathway to poverty alleviation. Therefore, your support would not only help a child go to school but you will also contribute towards a better future.

Everyone all over the world is affected by this pandemic. Lucky for most, staying at home isn't too bad because we are fortunate enough to have a good home and not worry about bringing food to the table despite the current circumstances. However it has left many families in a tough place and it's become even harder for them to get by. Challenged by my friend and classmate Maegan Yap who is a student ambassador with World Vision, it would help us and these families if you could donate even just a small amount to help reach 5000 PHP to donate to the families who need it during this time. We thank yo so much for your generosity, and please do let you friends and family know too!

Good day everyone! I am currently working with World Vision Philippines to fundraise for a cause. As one of the greatest concerns of our fellow Filipinos during this time of Pandemic is all about losing their jobs or their source of income due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine. This fundraise will directly help COVID-19 affected families through cash distribution to provide food and other essentials to their family members, especially the most vulnerable children and elderly. Word Vision, as a global Christian humanitarian organization, devoted to improving the lives of children, their families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. For more than 60 years of working in the Philippines, they help to achieve better lives for children through access to education, good health, rights, care and protection. Together with trusted donors and partners, they collaborate to work with poor and oppressed children through development programs, awareness campaign, local response and strategies in 34 provinces across the country. To further our reach with this movement we are creating and selling care mask. 100% of accumulated proceeds will be directly donated to help people especially children. A small amount can mean a big help to others. Hello! I am Irish Julliana U. Pagulayan and I made this fundraiser under the 5k Campaign Challenge of World Vision to extend meaningful help to our fellowmen who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. As we all know, many Filipinos were affected by the pandemic—many have lost their livelihoods in the past months and many more have faced financial and health problems since the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) took place. Even at this very moment, our fellowmen are looking for means to provide their daily needs, such as food, shelter and medicine. I believe, as youth, we have the power to help our fellow Filipinos. We have a voice that we can use to speak for those in need, a platform to utilize to raise awareness, and strength to provide help to our fellowmen. Please help me raise 5,000 pesos for 5 Filipino families! Your help, however small or big, will be appreciated by our fellow Filipinos. Donate and share!

I still believe in how a single little seed can produce a large fruitful tree. We may see ourselves as individuals but together, we can become more than the sum of a whole. Let's reach out to those in need and let the world know we can rise again. "We'll live to fight another day."  - Thorin Okenshield
