In 2018, Victor Consunji and Enrico Menichetti ran the extra mile for the benefit of children in need by joining the 2018 Marathon Des Sables in Morocco. Coined 'the toughest foot race on earth', the race pushed them to the limits. When we were small we remember the joy and excitement of going to the shops to buy new books, stationary, school bags, shoes, and uniforms in preparation for the new school year. We have been privileged to get a good education and reach great strides in life but unfortunately, many children do not get that opportunity. Thousands of families in the Philippines are unable to meet the cost of books, uniforms, and other school supplies resulting in their children dropping out of school and due to poverty children also decided to work for their families instead of going to school. This year, I decided to raise funds, and the proceeds will go directly to World Vision Philippines. Supporting one of their mision is to provide educational supplies for less fortunate and inspired them to value education and change the local community. As you can imagine, the children we can reach through this effort is a small fraction of those that are in need. Education is invaluable gift and I would like to invite you to join me in this endeavor. Even the smallest donation will help a less-fortunate young child stay in schools and education is a pathway to poverty alleviation. Therefore, your support would not only help a child go to school but you will also contribute towards a better future.
