My story all started when I was six ,my parents first thought I had lazy eye but when the docs knew it was more than lazy eye they had me admitted for a scan but it revealed worst as it was a type of brain tumor the least common in kids and since then I had been in and out of the hospital once or twice every year for my surgery.

My name is Goh Ee Jin, a Biomedicine student from Melbourne University and in collaboration with Brain Tumor Society Singapore (BTSS). My decision to start a fundraising page for brain cancer research did not come about from losing loved ones around me, but the realization that one's life can be taken away in less than a moment. My volunteer experiences and biomedical learning inspired me to start Head For Hope; an initiative that aims to bring brain cancer into the spotlight and spread awareness on how you can get involved to help. With extra funding, we aim to aid all patients the support they need and all funds raised will be donated to Brain Tumor Society Singapore in supporting brain cancer research.

A brain tumour diagnosis can have a devastating effect on the whole family. BTSS's mission is to support brain tumour patients and their caregivers so they are not alone on these difficult journeys. BTSS is small – just over a year old, 3 part-time staff and one very small office – but they have big ambitions and anything you could do to support this exciting initiative would be brilliant.

We are raising funds for a special Art Camp for children battling brain tumours. The purpose of this donation drive is to raise funds for an Art Camp which is being organised by the Brain Tumour Society of Singapore (BTSS) and will take place in June 2015. The camp is going to be a great opportunity for some special kids (and their brothers and sisters) to spend some time experimenting with art, music and drama - and most importantly so they can have some FUN. To help make this Art Camp happen, we appeal to your kind generosity; and in reciprocation, the three of us have decided to participate in a 70.3 Half Ironman in Putrajaya, Malaysia. We aim to train for and complete the race, and dedicate the grueling endeavor in to the special kids who will really benefit from your donations. Please support this cause - simply knowing that we have your support, and that these special kids will be benefiting from your kind donations will be all the motivation we need to take us through the Ironman race. Rest assured that all your donations will go directly to the beneficiary, as we have already self-funded all necessary costs pertaining to the race / training.
