We’ve all signed up for the Angels 8 week Fitness Change organised by the non-profit group Angels for Orphans (https://www.facebook.com/ANGELS4ORPHANS.HK/).  Not only will we be getting fit and healthy over the next 8 weeks, we will also be raising vital funds that will be donated to Bali Kids (www.balikids.org).  Bali kids provide education, health and dental care to underprivileged children, including a mobile clinic which travels around the villages to carry out health checks, and financing critical surgery. All funds raised will be go to support a new Anti-Smoking Education Program for children in Bali. The funds will cover the production, design and printing of a small booklet for kids about the evils of smoking. Currently, children do not receive any education on smoking and it is a major killer in Indonesia. Children as young as 4 are hooked on cigarettes and smoke up to 20 a day with no idea of the dangers this can have on their health.  Unlike so many other countries, Indonesia still has companies sponsoring sporting events and events linked to youth thus endorsing this terrible habit. No one else in Bali is looking to tackle this locally, please help us to help Bali Kids get this project off the ground by sponsoring us.  Their aim in the first 12 months is to educate around 5,000 children of the dangers of smoking and keep them healthy for life. Thank you, Kate, Meredith, Erin, Sarah and Louise

Your donations will spur me on and make a big difference to the lives of orphaned children in Bali, paying for a nurse to provide health and dental services; as well as funding a desperately needed anti-smoking campaign to alert children to the dangers of smoking. Hard to believe that kids as young as 7 have a 20 a day habit. Help Bali Kids to help children who deserve a better future.

One of our chosen partners.Individual and Teams will compete and in the process raise most money for Bali Kids and improve their own fitness.Bali Kids  provide health and dental care and education to underprivileged children, including a mobile clinic which travels around the villages to carry out health checks, and financing critical surgery (www.balikids.org)Bali Kids are kick starting a new Anti-Smoking Education Program for children in Bali. The funds raised will cover the production, design andprinting of a small booklet for kids, re the evils of smoking. Nothing like the opportunity to raise money for a really good cause to finally motivate me to get fit again! I'm following an 8-week fitness program and would be thrilled if you could help me raise some $ to donate to Bali Kids. The money will go towards a really important anti-smoking campaign for kids. Motivated by her competitive nature, Emma Pike of Hong Kong’s Farmers Kitchen, has gathered (read “twisted their arms”) a group of mums to take part in the eight week Angels Fitness Challenge 2016. The main aim of this challenge is to raise awareness and money for the Angels for Orphans (www.angelsfororphans.co.uk) charity who will be putting the funds towards Bali Kids (www.balikids.org), whilst having a bit of fun and increasing general fitness levels along the way.The Green Guns Team – made up of Allie, Emma, Monique, Suvarna, Veena and trained by Nacho (Ignacio Elosu) of EPT Studio – are training daily with a view to eating more healthily to lose weight, gain muscle and improve on our scores of the fitness test taken at the start of the challenge. Saturday 11th June will mark the last day of the challenge where we are all determined to smash our times and scores for the plank, push-ups, wall squats as well as the dreaded weigh in and measurement taking and beat the other teams taking part. The money raised for Bali Kids will be used to fund a local language anti-smoking campaign aimed at children, some as young as ten years of age, who are unaware of the dangers and health risks associated with smoking. We do understand that you may have charities that are closer to your heart, but any donation, however big or small will be gratefully received. The money raised will make a difference to helping children understand the health risks that smoking carries and allow them to make informed lifestyle choices from a younger age. We thank you for your support.

You know me, always up for a challenge! And this one is to help educate kids about the dangers of smoking. It has been something like 6 or 7 months, I have stopped smoking for the second time and the last. So, it is even closer to my heart to do our best to stop kids starting by first preventing them from being cigarette companies marketing targets...I am taking this challenge with all my mighty (first week is already behind and I feel great) within a great team. Now, I need you to believe in me and give me this little extra nudge of encouragement by donating!

Bali Kids operates a small orphanage of currently 16 children, and also provide health and dental care and education to underprivileged children, including a mobile clinic which travels around the villages to carry out health checks, and financing critical surgery (www.balikids.org)Having grown up with a lovable, but chain smoking Dad, and consequently, hating smoking as a result, this is an important and often overlooked message about teaching kids the importance of keeping away from the bad stuff, and keeping healthy (and financially more in control as they won't be spending any money they do have on cigarettes). So...it's a win win!If you would like to donate to this cause, through sponsoring me, I would be over the moon....and I promise to work very hard the next 8 weeks!Thank you so much xx
